Did you ever play Rayman 2? If not then go play it. It's all 3D and platformery! To me that game is down right amazing. It's been ages since I last played it on my pc as a child. Need to go reinstall it and enjoy myself. Not sure. Problem is though - for me, but especially for you going back to it - that old games that were revolutionary and/or seemed amazing at the time often seem terrible now. Goldeneye is a good example, Zelda one of the exceptions to the rule. I can't guarantee even if I haven't played it that I would enjoy it now, just because graphics aside it probably seems incredibly basic.

Kinetic is going to revolutionize the gaming industry.Kinetic itself I see failing rather hard due to a lack of real games. It has major potential if they can get some real games. That star wars game looks too linear for anyone to really enjoy. Now if they made it full 3D world with an adventure style then you would have on your hands a winner if executed properly. It would be rather hard to pull some of the tricks(jumping attacks, flips, midair floating moves, things of that nature) off without a controller so im interested to see where the future is going with this.

Yeah, they badly needed to show off an actual game which wasn't Forza, which no current Forza fan in their right mind is going to want to play. The process of getting in the car and going through the motions isn't just showey, it's odd, and driving with an invisible steering wheel would be almost as bad as driving with the Wii wheel. And my God, that Kinectimals demo was creepy.

It's funny how they said that driving a car through the kinetic would be realistic... Altough they forgot that having an invisible steer is far from being real. Driving with a plastic steer on the ps1 was more realistic than that.

Let us also note that the demos they showed in both ubisoft and microsofts Kinect demos were pre recorded as in the people on stage were just acting. It was rather embarrassing.
A real game must come out for this or it will fail. Remember the eyetoy a few years ago. It just couldn't take off because of that. No real gamer wants to stand while playing unless it is really exciting. Casuals are not willing to blow 300usd for a console then another 150usd for the Kinect. Advertising is weak so far and only noncasuals watch E3. I expect this to fail pretty hard.

I don't think the Eyetoy was ever meant to take off as a big idea, it was always just a bit of gimmicky, unusual fun at a reasonable price. Kinect is billed as so much more, an avenue to the expansion of gaming and the prolonging on the 360's life, but it hasn't shown any of that; 'body scanning' in fitness games aside, it has looked exactly like an Eyetoy so far, when Move's credentials and capabilities are already proven. I mean come on, when you get Spielberg bigging your invention up a year and a half before launch, people expect something revolutionary.

While I never played a gear of war game the demo they showed did look pretty cool. It would be nice if companies released demos such as the one they showed a month or two before release date. I believe that would be a good way for skeptical such as myself to try a game about way before release date. It's rather hard to find 60usd right there at release date so I can buy a game if I didn't plan on it. By the time I get the cash my friends are already done with the game.

Gears was the same old; it's a fun game but the mechanics get a bit tiresome, and introducing some new enemies and two chicks doesn't cut it. The mutants also looked a lot like the Ganados from RE4...

Hopefully Nintendo and Sony are good tomorrow. I am expecting Zelda to be the greatest thing at E3. Do not disappoint me.

Because motion sensor opens up a whole new way of possibilities. Just at the moment developers are too lazy or the technology is not here yet for what gamers really want out of their motion sensors.
If anything this is a rather good experiment for the future of gaming and we should take it as so. It lets us see just what the future possibilities hold. Remember what the nes was back in the day. Think of this as the NES of motion sensors. Now imagine the PS3 of motion sensors.
Edited post for extra stuff.
