Netorare. An already old and boring fad

Hentai in itself is about taboo. The beauty of hentai is your deepest fantasies can come to life with no regret. Hate and love are two sides of the same coin and only by combining both can you get the most pleasure. Regular Vanilla hentai feels like it has no point in existing. the whole reason fan art exists is to reflect something that exists in a different way. Now a hentai doujin that takes a character and puts them in an unlikely taboo situation that... that is where real pleasure is. Your heart beating, hard as a rock, and your chest being squeezed. until you have combined all your emotions you haven't felt real pleasure for Love is stronger when there is pain and pain is stronger when there is love.

[color=red]And... should I do a backflip?
[color=red]Nope. The artist made a fan art/doujinshi because she/he likes the series. Doesn't matter if it's about Vanilla, NTR, Rape, or anything else.

Some people dont like the idea of their lovers being unfaithful, its a very easy question to answer.

What really makes me laugh is when vanilla-fags like netori (where the MC steals away the person they like from someone else) and are like, "This is vanilla." "This ain't that bad." Makes me laugh.

The reason I dislike NTR personally is because thinking about cheating in general kinda makes me feel depressed. I guess I sympathize with the person who has their lover stolen from them. For people who like fidelity, being cheated on is just a horrible feeling and leaves the person brewing with rage and sadness. I do understand how some people find NTR appealing due to the taboo though, since I enjoy the taboo of sibling incest. Different strokes for different blokes really.

i don't like NTR because the stories tend to be pretty depressing. i myself had to go through a similar situation (i.e. listening to the girl i like fuck in a room upstairs) and don't like being reminded of that. usually it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth while i'm trying to fap. then instead of feeling good i just feel depressed.
i understand forced and chikan. that i can understand the logic behind those. i just don't understand the logic of NTR.

Makes me laugh.Case per case. NTR tends to focus on the humiliation of the victim, to destroy him, to be as unfair as possible. When the victim is better than the stealer, the story will "asspull" something, be it like in Bug or drugs or kidnap or unlucky coincidences so that he still loses. Usually the victim has done nothing wrong, while the usual "You were cheating on your wife so I'm gonna steal her with some blackmail shenanigans" stories get pretty much unanimous "he deserved it" comments, See Afternoon Break Service Wife.

Even if we want to call it netori because of cheating (fuckbuddy + cheating sounds bit paradoxish) the guy who suffered it is a bastard, HE was the one about to netorare his best friend by stealing his girlfriend's first time. Here you don't have feelings of humiliation, betrayal, wrath, all you can see is "good thing his girlfriend wasn't a slut" and "he deserved it". Sometimes the technicality of the act isn't enough. Take this

People can start crying today and stop next year: this is netorare, whether the guy eventually accepts the fact his love is a whore or not. It's not like she was stolen away but from HIS point of view she was pure while in reality she was fucking everyone in sight. It's not like he had a choice anyway, she still would fuck the rest of team. Rather, I'm pretty sure the fact he accepted the bitch for who she is pissed more people off rather than not.

This too. People think there's nothing wrong about it. There is no cheating, she was never his lover but she was still his beloved one. This is netorare, the kid got his feelings crushed by finding out the woman he loves his a slut, he had to watch her having sex and he even got off to that scene.
One can discuss all day but seriously, putting the scenario of Long Distance Relationship and Little Problem on the same level is a bit off. Heck, Inuzuma by Shiraishi Nagisa is counter-netorare (her body and soul at the start of the story already belonged to the man she cheated his husband on) and yet all people were jumping in joy and awe because the perpetrator was made the victim by the original victim himself.

I always had the same question. Well, not exactly "why people don't like NTR" but "why do they have to bitch about it". It baffles me that people who only like vanilla still read a whole NTR/forced story and then start complaining like they saw somebody being murdered or something like that. Not that it isn't in their right, but I think they shouldn't annoy and downvote others because they like different things.
Unless, of course, there's a "NTR wave" and these people aren't seeing stories with themes they like. Then, I think the complaint is more understandable.
Personally, I like netorare and dislike vanilla manga/doujin, which I skip reading 90% of time. I would

This is one of the most logical posts ever. The idea of being an internet tuff guy is entirely laughable because of this. What exactly are you going to achieve by acting tough on the internet?

I'll tell you my personal take on the matter.
While it's understandable that some people don't find vanilla appealing, it's far more understandable why many people don't like netorare. When picking a story to translate, once you picked netorare you know you've cut a wide share of people out, those people won't change their mindset just because there's not anything else (I once had an argument with a lwb translator for this very reason, he thinks people flip a switch to like everything). The opposite can happen instead as "boring" isn't a real complaint. EVERY hentai story, bar a very small handful, is. Just because something happens doesn't mean it's inspired or not repetitive.
I'll give you an example: until a few months ago, "when you let go of my hand" was the only translated story by Takenoko Seijin. Nothing special, certainly translated for the sole reason it was netorare. After that, another netori story came, mc wasn't even that evil as you can see it was unrequited love, while the cuckold was there for very few pages, just to remind you it was netori. Eventually, a non-netorare story got translated and people were happy to find out it was not ntr, that the story was lighthearted if a bit comical 4koma-style. They liked it. Yesterday a second non-ntr story (readers decided the outcome with a poll) made of two chapters released in english, people were in shock, you'll see the reaction once it appears on Fakku. Story was from 2010.
You know what? The two non-netorare stories had to be commissioned (with $$$$$$) while the ntr ones were free picks.
Amatarou's Flower, Kima Gray's "Boku no Watashi no Shinai Koto", Shunjou Shuusuke "Mou Sukoshi Dake", Meme 50 "Limit Break", ReDrop "HenKano", Amatake Akewo "Lovely Bitch"
Those are just few of the MANY books that fell behind D-M paywall: people have to pay for popular mainstream stuff. It doesn't help that the teams not in ntr are slow and they haven't really got that much good taste (or barely know what's vanilla) to begin with. Yeah, let's translate the 79th SAO and the 148th Idolmaster doujin instead!
It's not about a lack of content worthy a translation either, not even remotely.

I didn't mean there was no content. Actually, I saw people complaining once or twice about there being only NTR releases on Fakku, and I think that's a more valid reason to complain than if there's equal parts of good NTR and vanilla stories and people complain and downvote and etc just because they dislike NTR.
About the rest of your post, I didn't know about that. But I guess these guys, probably amateur scanlators, won't bother to translate things they dislike for free. So, if they aren't interested in vanilla, they simply don't do it.

NTR brings a sense of insecurity over your own body and the ability to please a girl. What brings more rage is the fact that it could be stopped (since 80 - 90% of NTR stories are poorly written and are full of loose ends) if she could just talk about it, but ends up with the girl becoming a slave of pleasure to an apparent point of no return. Vanilla lovers hate NTR because, unlike a cheating, leave a sensation of powerless and in real life you won't want to have that.

...Why do people hate NTR?...hm....people + Illiterate=...those people who don't like NTR. End of story.

I can never understand how people get off from this. It feels like my heart is breaking everytime I read it. I mean come on do you really like seeing a guy/girl's lover was stolen from them by some strainger or best friend. but i will admit there are some "Netorare" thats OK by me. Like a bad boy-friend/girl-friend that treats their lover horrible and he/she starts to fall in love with his/her close-friend/childhood friend and a love-triangle type thing. I guess that explains to you why I read only some of it but not all of it! Well thats 2 thing I kinda like about netorare and please don't judge me because Im very picky. If there are anyone who agrees then please write back and if anyone disagrees then go ahead an write whatever!

I like Netorare because I like Bad Ends/Trainwreck Endings. The worse, more grating the NTR is, the better. Basically, stories where the good guy doesn't come out on top I find much more entertaining a read than anything else.
Don't get me wrong, though, I love the Vanilla stuff too. Love it a lot, but if I don't have variety in my diet, reading vanilla story after vanilla story gets real boring real fast, then suddenly, the only thing a vanilla story has going for it is the artwork alone. NTR and the like provide the variety I crave along with generally appealing to many more fetishes that I wish would be packed into a vanilla story too :3
