Okay then. Our tastes in video games may differ to some extent but I do like the Mass Effect series as well. I do fear your generalizing Japanese RPGs too much though. You don't have to like them but they're not all as "squeaky-girl-quip-y" as you may think. I can see why JRPGs are not for everyone but there's definitely good ones out there.
I may be, but the ones that I have seen were kind of insufferable. Star Ocean, namely. Any JRPG where the female characters have squeaky, little girl voices and say weird, cutesie shit everytime they perform an action. It's not 'degrading', just.. super annoying and distracting. There are other things about JRPG's that annoy me, but it's a long list and this thread has seen too much arguing and flaming as it is. Even if it's flaming a game. xD
