Buy an N64 and play the PS4/X720 at someone elses house.Fun fact: Sony was/is trying to get a patent for some technology that will block second-hand games on the PS4.
Trufax. no backwards compatibility, no pre-owned games, will be out a lot later than the xbox (so they can get the edge performance wise).
Pretty sure xbox is being laid back... they were going the whole no discs thing, but that got changed... for good.

It's actually going to be long transition before people upgrade to PS Orbis an or Xbox 720p
Whenever these systems hit Sony & Microsoft won't see a major sell until 2 or so years later
Too many people are still caught up in current gen as well future titles still to hit in the near future for PS3 & Xbox 360
It took about 2-3 years before Xbox 360 finally got rolling same with PS3

Play station...meh....the issues with PlayStation is that it lacks that sense of community.... well xbox has all the partys and more players on cod. Halo is also on xbox and that is commonly used in stuff like x-games. also xbox seem easier/funner to mod. Also Nintendo is bleh. Games that i use to play like final fantasy, fire emblem, zelda, were nice and all but im not paying alot of money for the device to play them. Also the touch screen and motion stuff irks me, makes games so much worse imo.

After all, Microsoft actually an online system where Sony just has the bare bones. If Sony ends up fixing their online, I doubt it'll be free and free online is one of the PS3's major selling points when comparing it to the Xbox. I'm not going to bother with the system exclusives but in general, if it is a shooter, it is better on the Xbox and if it is an RPG or Racer etc. it is better on the PS3.

Wait until the systems are released, along with some fucking games, and then base your decision upon this list of criteria which I find quite discerning:
-Are the games any fucking good
-Is the stupid system fucking backwards compatible
-Storage space
-Other specs
-Price
Simple.

You could invest in a better PC too.
I don't like Micro$haft and I already have to deal with them and Steam to PC game so I won't even look at their next console. And unless Sony puts something like the Last Guardian on their next console I won't be getting until late in it's lifespan.
Already got the Wii U. It's fun but I wanted Pikman 3 to come out earlier. At least I have MH to look forward to.

Not bad at all.
Fortunately not every dev is trying to or being forced to tack in motion controls or use of the actual tablet on their games.

Be patient, but there are a lot rumors going around that the 720 or the ps4 may or may not cost a hefty price.( I read somewhere it may cost between 300-350)
However, I will miss the duel shock controller, which will not be on the ps4, but I can't wait to see what different developers are going to do with THQ's games since THQ dissolved because of financial issues.

Because they dont have enough monies yet and they want EVERYONE to buy new games, not pre-owned ones because they dont get monies from them
Also I'm going to buy teh xbox at some point after its released, but I'm not in a hurry.
