So, I found out my version of PS3 doesn't support PS2 games. I have a shitton, so when I went back to North Carolina to visit my family and such, I wanted to bring back my PS2. The first day, I asked about my PS2 and my (real) brother said he didn't know where it was at. I didn't think much of it because I could always find it later before I left to go back to my apartment in Connecticut on Thursday (today). Today, my brother was like I don't know where it is. So I told him to help me look for it. My stepbrother also denied knowing where it was as well. I thought this was particularly weird because they played Rockband on it a lot when I was here finishing high school, as well as some of my other games like FFX and Dark Cloud 1+2. So I pressed on, and my stepbrother got very defensive when I was forcing him to try to tell me where it was. My brother then said a friend might possibly have it, and my stepbrother continually denied it. Finally, I told my mother about what was happening and how no one wanted to tell me where my PS2 was. She got very mad because we have had problems before with my stepbrother lying all of the fucking time. Eventually, my stepbrother fled into his room, and I yelled at my brother for not being able to tell me where it was at. I knew at this point it had to be at a friend's house. My stepdad doesn't give a shit and says what's the big deal about it. The fact is, it's my property, why the fuck does it matter whether or not I wanted to actually play it (which I do) and my mom was getting furious with him (especially since it's always like this, my stepdad says why does it matter and says we're just ganging up on my stepbrother because we hate him blah blah even though the truth always comes out that he did something wrong 90% of the time). Stepbrother comes up, doesn't say anything except "I'm calling Julian (his friend) to get the PS2 back." Doesn't apologize, doesn't say a word to my mom or me, and pretends he's the victim yet again. I was like here we go again with my stupid stepbrother pretending he's innocent and that we're the ones attacking him when he does something wrong. They're (stepbrother and stepdad) on their way home after they found out the PS2 was at ANOTHER PERSON'S HOUSE because the friend had LENT IT TO SOMEONE ELSE. Sorry IB, I had to rage and post this. Before you post, I can't beat him up. I've got to prove a point and shit and beating him up won't do anything. He'll just look like the victim. So don't try to say do that because you're just wasting your time. /rant

nah this drama has been going a long time, trust me. My mom just finally had it. PS2 earlier in the day was not the catalyst. It happened to be his disobeying my mother's rules about the phone constantly throughout the day, along with calling her a crazy bitch. Trust me, if I wanted to, I could fill up 6 posts worth of info of what has been going on.

I was just understating things. I know firsthand just how "great" relationships with children from a previous marriage can work (or not work in a lot of cases)

Sometimes you catch a break and everyone gets along. But when the kids are around the 12-15 year old mark, it can turn to shit pretty quickly.

Oh, and you're one up on me, if some fucker pushed my mom around (especially if she had a broken leg) I would have made that kid eat his own teeth

I knew my mom would disapprove of stooping down to his level. So I followed what I believed to be the best, especially since we could make him out to be the bad guy easy with him having no scratches, and me with a swollen eye socket. Cops would see it pretty easy.

Well, we are in like 2 weeks for preparations to go to Spain (which 99% they won't go now because of this incident, thank ALLALALALALALALAH). I also know some people on the football team that owe me favors, so I wouldn't have to get my hands dirty. Especially if they heard he did that to MY mom (whom many guys thought was HOT, very awkward sometimes.)

You really are mentally very strong, in my opinion. I don't know how I would have reacted (probably violently) but you remained calm, at least rational, I think it's impressive...

I fight too dirty. Had I fought, I would have gotten a knife out. That wouldn't end well.

I think I would have beat him up the first he touched any of my stuff, especially a PS2...and if he thouched my mom that would be the end of him. That's why I say you have self-control and that's good...

I didn't lend it though. I left it at home, because I'm away at college. I expect my shit to not be violated. Then it does get violated. I can't even trust my (step)family.
