Reflecting on 9/11

I spend most of the morning finding a babysitter for my bro so i can report for duty in SF. I was drunk the night before.

I was 7 when 9/11 happend, I pretty much did the same thing (minus the "do it again").

I was in middle school, I didn't really get it fully.
I had heard from someone else that a plane had hit it in the past, so I didn't see what the problem was (no one said they FELL DOWN, just that they were HIT...).
We had a fire drill, too. Why they'd want us in clear view in the parking lots didn't make a ton of sense, but I think at that point the plane that luckily was crashlanded by passengers was headed over NJ to nearby PA. Sad stuff.

Got home and saw news, woah. Sad sad stuff. Lots of miracle stories of my friends' parents narrowly missing either being at work there or being delayed en route to work there.

Oh fuck, completely forgot that today was 9/11
Feel kinda bad now.

Pretty sure I saw Air Force One or one of the decoy planes flying over that day.

I was twelve then. Didn't rellay effect me, but I was still sorry for those who died there or lost someone there.
Terrorists sure can get desperate.
Being from a small insignificant country sucks, but it has it's adventages sometimes. For example, I can be sure nothing like that will happen here.

I still don't understand why they didn't find a way out of the building instead of taking their time to make a phone call.
