Secret knowledge. Fun - or dangerous?

If you had lots of secret knowledge, you know things you shouldn't know.
And live - both inside, and outside of the matrix. Fencing. In a why didn't I take the blue pill sort of way. You want to forget but can't. The weight of this knowledge is crushing, and if a person were exposed to it all at once, they would turn completely insane.
Would you still want the knowledge?

I think the knowledge would drive a person mad.
An average person.
What if someone managed to transcend reality itself realizing that it is in fact an illusion. A prison you can not smell hear taste or touch. Would the newfound freedom be worth dying for? What if those that don't go mad, are stronger in the face of adversity? What doesn't kill me makes me stronger. Heroes are born. We don't sleep.
