Secret Valentines Event?

I've seen a few other sites run events like this, so I'm wondering if the Fakku community would have any interest in it.

How it would work, theoretically:
- Users will submit their name
- your secret valentine will be drawn and sent to you
- write/make a nice card and/or gift and send it to your secret valentine
- contact the organizer and they will let your partner know that their gift is on the way
- those who sign up but don't participate will get in biiiiiiiiiiiig trouble
- ????
- happiness!

We had a secret santa thingy, and quite many people took part in it. I would have too, but I was too late for it :<< And because I was late for the secret santa, I could be interested in a secret valentines event. Maybe. Not 100% sure yet.

I might participate. Maybe. Could be fun.

We had an event for this for the past three years. Last years can be found here. It was in the form of PMs though. I don't know if someone already has something planned for it or not...

But that isn't quite like the idea I had in mind.
I was hoping to have us all send each other real, physical, irl cards and/or gifts.

Kind of like a Secret Santa thing. :3

You could do that, but the costs could make it not worth the bother. That's why we've been using PMs. Sure getting something irl would be great, but it isn't ideal when the person you get could live halfway around the world.

Zandorf is just fine... I disdain that -sama title for myself.

About the 'halfway across the world thing', I thought that we could have the pots by country, or continent.

As for that, you could do that, but some people may not even live in the same country as another person participating.

Maybe it's me being cautious, or just me being stubborn, but I would rather just stick with something in the form of a PM.

Yeah, for example I live in Finland and there's quite few finnish people here and those few arent very active (atm at least).

BUT I had a penpal from Japan years ago and it really doesnt cost that much to send a letter overseas. But I believe more people would be interested if they didnt have to use any money at all for this thing.
