Chuuni a good light-hearted anime, but it's too cheesy - especially the last few episodes - and the story isn't really that spectacular. It's a wonderful anime though, animation and production values-wise. And the character designs are 10/10.
In the same genre of anime, I think that Hyouka is better.
Edit: But Chuunibyou's amazing OP beats Hyouka's hands down.
I liked Chuunibyou more than all of them (though Sakamichi no Apollon was one I missed out on). The rest of those were all great though.
Also, I don't know what you mean by Hyouka being the same genre as Chuunibyou. It isn't at all. But Hyouka was certainly amazing and my 3rd favourite of 2012.
