So my country just entered electronic martial law...

Don't you love when governments use the implementation of something that should exist a long time ago to hide censoring tools? If only they were as dedicated to take care of their people. Who needs infrastructure? Let's make sure there's no kiddie porn on the internets, oh and btw also arbitrarily decide to punish whatever we deem unpatriotic!?!?

Not censorship. No real difference, just sayin'.

I thought it was some idiotic senator who plagiarized his speech?

My question is if they're actually going to enforce it or if it's going to be one of those "Well you're in court for that but we also know you did this so we're slapping that on too"

Censorship wasn't the excuse but the hidden intent. I'm not sure we understand each other.

VPN's help but not all are equal, if used heavily then a seedbox is recommended with VPN. Could always stop, but apply some thought before grabbing it up goes a long way.

No they are a paid service but they can be pretty cheap VPN wise, seedbox can be a different story, but that depends on usage. As mentioned you could do proxies which are free but speeds are usually garbage so I don't like them too much other then browsing.

This is a trick I heard about for thepiratebay to get passed the UK block. Try one out:

Vpn, tunneling, Google Public DNS maybe could work, but i'm not sure. Proxying in the area of free won't. You can surf but you can't dl/upload. You may have to use dl services since they can't really trace that unless your the uploader and it's just the site thing. You may be able to torrent thru a proxy on your torrent program. http://www.zeropaid.com/news/89796/how-to-download-with-bittorrent-using-a-proxy/ or google more. I never did this before and it's depends on how good your govt' firewall is.
