because I want to be, I dont feel like gaming atm since the constant change in flashing colors hurt my eyes and my head, and im not constantly shifting my eyes left and right with my mouse movement - so it hurts my eyes less, with the lower brightness setting

It does make a difference to me at least, when I game i turn my brightness up a bit on my screen and when I am off I lower it
