Honestly, I am not good with these technological stuffs, but if ever you need a political advisor then I would gladly take that position.Well, most of human population died in the Collapse and The Project follows a military command structure, but we arent pure dictatorship.Could you can explain more exactly what you mean?
The main objective of this project is to build a new world out of the ashes. A military command system makes use of authority or power in directing its personnel. Politics applies to almost all range of activities that makes use of power.
Basing from the timeline, the NASDA was the one which created that satellite defense array that was solely intended to protect North America. It seems like this technology was hidden on the dark, so countries around the globe don't even know about its existence. If they only cooperated with other countries that are willing to participate to end the nuclear war then this tragedy should have not happened.
And yet now, even after the end of the civilizations brought upon by their supposedly defense system, North America(?) shamelessly tries to revive the old world. I believe they are not the only ones who survived that horrendous tragedy, and those survivors might also be planning to take revenge on those who were responsible for all of these. I think I would be possibly suited as a personnel on the command centre.
We have tried contacting outside the north america. That yelded no results. We didnt get any contact with other civilisatsions. And we lack knowledge about the outside area of N. America.
That would pose a problem. You need a reconnaissance group to gather intelligence. It is only my suggestion, though even if not I'm not a part of this project. Good luck to you and your teams' future endeavors.

I wanna be a commander, but what do I do?You, as a commander, lead a squad, consisitng of you (commander), Droid pilots and reearchers to find and recover pre-Collapse technology and engage hostiles who threaten your base or The Project in general.

Base defences hold back the attackers and a small squad of droids will assist with defending until main force reaches the base.

It is problem that needs a solution, but we need all the manpower we have and we cant send out any squads outside the N. America. Too much of a risk.

It won't hurt to send at least two men to recon. If you are too conscious of the risk it will bring, what more if an unforeseen movement suddenly threatened that "Project". Either way has a risk, it is all part of decision making. Would you rather gamble the lives of your two men, or risk the failure of the whole project including the lives of other people? Material resources is another issue, though.

Well this is interesting to say the least. I'd go for simply a field operative if that's alright. We dont send troops to the battlefield. We use droids in the battlefield to keep the humans away from the battlefield. We might send out some troops if we manage to collect the Synaptic Link technology, which allows for cyborg construction. Until then, we dont send troops in the field. But would you like to be commandor of Alpha squad? Later, you can command droids on the field, if we research Synaptic Link technology.
Even with state-of-the-art technology, there will always be a need for a man to be on the field. Though I guess it can't be helped if that's how you work around here. Though being a squad leader. . . are these groupings the same to standard militaries?
As a squad leader, you will command droids from the field, inside command centre. This removes the risk of lost commands to the droids.
The squad consists of a commander, droid pilots and researchers, who can provide medical assistance if needed. Commanders word is the law in the squad.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Now, if you excuse me, ive being attacked by raiders. Team Zeta, engaging hostiles.
So its pretty much the same besides the added researchers? or is one of the fire teams under my command replaced with a team of researchers. Because a standard squad would consist of three fire teams, each consisting of 4-5 units, and a squad commander usually ranking Staff Sergeant(although many militaries at the moment are phasing out the rank so it probably wouldn't exist in this timeline.
Please confirm this, are we using standard squad structure or is there some different structure this uses.
@Haron, from what I've gathered here, we'd most likely send out droids so there wouldn't be much risk then.

Of course! I forgot it is a futuristic era. It still has enticed my mind on why they still haven't discovered a conventional replacement of nuclear weapons at that time.

Researchers are a team of theyr own and they arent trained in combat. Youre free to set your own fire teams from droid pilots though.

Very well then, I'll use standard squad structure.
Three fire teams with 5 men each and me as squad leader. What is the point of me having researchers?

To research artefacts on the field. To research on field you need to build Research Facility. Ive found one artefact and my researchers are researching it and making it usable to units. After that it will be sand to The Project HQ for deeper analyzatsion and research.
Anyway. Alpha squad leader.
Go to these coordinates and make a base there. After that scout the area for artefacts. That location was a vehicle industry in pre-Collapse. There should be information about Fuel Injection Engine. Please recover it.
Previous scouting trip suggest that raiders might have recovered the artefact. Scout the area first.

Mmmmmmm, I'm guessing no-one bothered to guess why small clans of scavangers have access to technology that can match ours? Or that they have managed to co-ordinate with each other?
Nevermind, that's my job.
Please, bring a few prisoners next time you're back, we need someone to interrogate to gather more evidence.
