And in truth, I wish you were right. I like being my friendly self far more than the asshole I show to everyone when I'm at work. The problem is that jerks roll in and if I'm nice and courteous, they try and doze me...
It's more of a necessity than a choice I suppose...

I'm more stubborn than anything else. I simply refuse to roll over. I'm pretty much a nice guy until someone tries to "doze" me (as you put it). Then I become overly aggresive. This has gotten me in trouble more than once.
