Hold the sword in front of you, put your right hand near the crossguard and your left hand near the end of the hilt. Raise you sword, don't let it go down to the level of your belly button.

Ah...Then you don't need training. Hold your sword well, it all about willpower more than anything else. If you have the will, you can practically do anything, like jump off from a four storied building and survive(Personal Experience). Well that's what my mentor said when I was learning. It roughly translates to "I'm too lazy, just hit harder than your opponent and don't get hit, you'll get used to it."
