That's movie stuff. Too much vibrations to get accurate hit.. I would dare shooting on closer distance. Up to 400 meters

Have you tried restarting your computer? testing the Mic on another pc in the house to make sure it connects to those? Tried a 2nd mic on your pc to see if that one connects to your pc?

Tested it on my laptop.
The mistake is either fucked up drives or audio card died. My audio card is integrated...
