Okay a quick question of the day (I'll disappear right after that):
Imagine a combat situation and you shoot somebody. What do you feel?

Hmmm. . .
*imagines running out of an LCVP on D-Day, artillery and mortar shells going off around him with comrades dropping to the ground. Eventually makes it up the cliff face aside a pillbox. A soldier and I kick open the pillbox's door and fire down on the occupants*
. . . a slight sense of satisfaction, knowing that I've managed to lessen the enemy's army by one man and probably saved a lot of lives for my army, and bloodlust. . .

A cold winter day in Soya, a man was beating up a woman, a woman I knew all to well. I didn't hesitate, that day I bought a gun with me, you might think it was lucky thinking; A load of bull. A model 60, the one with the 7.6cm barrel, an old gun given to me a long time ago. I aim and pull the trigger without any second thoughts, the man falls dead on the snow, the woman lies there motionless.
What do I feel? Don't fuck with me. I was too late...
EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention. This is a part of a story I wrote a while back. Please comment on my English writing skills. ^_^

Glad to know you guys took this seriusly and nobody wrote: "*Smirk* Recoil"
I'll also turn:
I'd probably get prety mixed up feeling of confusion, adrenaline kick, wonder (meaning like: OMG I shot that guy dead) and a bit of satisfaction.
If I'd snipe someone... Then... I must admit that recoil...

Honestly, I do not know how I would react if I killed someone. Based on how I acted when I got into my 1st car wreak... id say I would most likely drop the gun and pretty much lose it >_>;

EDIT2: Crap I forgot! *Suddenly produces a large pole using magic. Then takes something out of his tent, those things were carp streamers. Hangs them on top of the pole.*
There.
