I will be perfectly honest... While 58 has a big place in my heart of love for firearms... From the same time period is also a G3... There is just something about Battle rifles... I am not that much of a fan of M14 but when I look at FAL or G3... They are so... classy? I am not sure how to put it.
When you actually look at my list everything except Makarov and Vz 52 pistols are from different categories. :D

Battle rifles definitely have my love(but so does a lot of other firearms) I would've picked the L1A1 since I've also fired it before during my early days but 870 is one I absolutely adore because of how versatile and popular it is.

@Val, that strike reloading is just lovely. Need more anime with guns.

@Data, wish you luck as well with you're military service. I'm sure you'll get through it fine.

Yeah. Shotgun are really great on versatility with how much variety there is on the loads. Some types of slugs were prohibited here because of how effective they were against police issued body armour if I remember correctly. I am thinking about buying a shotgun eventually but I am facing a same thing as many... Remington 870 or Mosberg 500 (or maybe Maverick 88 which is lower cost version of 500)

Well we ams getting another airsoft anime this season, "Sabagebu" or Survival Game Club. Hopefully it won't be as disappointing as C3.

@Lance, yeah I would've gone for G3 myself but if AK is on the list, gotta go with the AK.

Not only the variety of loads but a pump action is one of the most reliable actions you can get with firearms. I also believe my country has restrictions on what loads we can have here(they certainly wouldn't let us have Dragons breath or any of that other crazy stuff).

I've not tried the Mossberg 500, personally I prefer the 590.

True an AK is an AK no matter how you look at it. I got myself the pre-air vid... We'll see what will come out of it but honestly I do not expect that much.

Of course, in the end this is gonna be your run of the mill high school anime. Can't expect it to have that engaging a plot or be anything memorable, just a lighthearted anime about 'cute girls doing cute things'

Yeah but that's what we expected from C3 and halfway through got a crappy attempt at trying to be something serious. Of course they did that to try and emphasize the moral that airsoft is something that is meant to be enjoyable but still, could've been done without the hand blistering training(which I've never seen people accomplish even with real firearms) or assassination with a over-spec GBB.

Well it's not like you can expect that from high school girls. Well. . . you can but still. I don't know much of the story line for Sabagebu but I don't imagine the cast bother to read up on proper weapon control.

Agreed, the Desert Eagle is one of the most overly popular pistols. Probably because of it's large caliber but honestly there's a reason why it's not any military's service pistol.

Anyway, I figure I should probably take off as well. Need to get my body clock back in order sometime.

I think because of hollywood. Its Huge, fires a huge round and makes a sound of a mini cannon. Looks awesome, sounds awesome, BUt it isnt practical. Id prefer H&K USP

Oho another one of H&K lovers. I like USP not just because it looks great but also because I might be able to get my hand on it. I just love that squared slide but the fact that you need an adapter for rails is a bit of the pain.

I can have USP as a service handgun. So thats good for me.

USPs are good pistols, it's no wonder it's in service with many different forces(including my country's SF) but I would go for the P220 series of pistols if it were for personal carry. Definitely do want a USP as well though.
