Gee I am waving the purchase permission for VZ58 but not enough money as of yet... Why the hell must be A-class VZ 85 the true military rifle be priced 50% lower than the VZ 858? .. ... ... There is no way I can justify a full auto assault rifle to the police not to mention the A class weapons need fitting security and is the only weapon when police can pay you a visit to check the security is adequate...

In the other news: Seems like this war of squatters VS police is getting a bit off hand... I kinda wonder if it's by someone's influence or if some a$$ or ass in the upper police echelons takes that as personal hobby/mission to fight with those fellas... Usually squatters maintain the buildings better than leaving them empty or having junkies move in...

Perhaps they make the A-class rifle cheaper to tempt more people into getting it, thereby allowing more police checks. Nah, that sounds stupid, there are many easier ways for police to do that that don't involve you getting a select fire rifle in the process.

I will agree that it would seem somebody is really pushing this crackdown on squatters, I imagine there are things your police force could better focus themselves on than people in need of shelter.

Czech IS a strange nation... Yeah our police does these things that at least most of young people don't like (Kinda like that novel It was called "The Red and the Black" I believe where the young ones the "red" steadily became those they loath on the older ones "the black" and attain their views) but I think they still have yet to do as much assholery as 'Mericans.

I think there is this public view that being a squatter necessarily means (s)he's a no good junkie drug addict without a goal in life... While there is a portion of squatters that are exactly that there are squatter communities that couldn't be more the exact opposite. One of the reasons of this struggle is that here in Prague especially in centre there is this trend of having a building but nobody lives there. The building is a property of some .inc company whose secretary is preferably a foreigner not to mention next to impossible to get hold of and they force the inhabitants to move out thus leaving an empty building that is slowly rotting away... That is what squatters are trying to point out especially here in Prague and the moves of the police means someone up there doesn't like it... Or at least that's my take on it.

Kinda sucks when you're in a country that is hard for everyday citizens to regulate their governing bodies. . . wait, that's every country.

Been messing around with 858. I think I got all the conservative out of it and gave it some lube. Good thing Vz 58 does't need much lube. :D

Lol, 58 isn't like an M16 you need to clean the fuck out of every 10 minutes.

Also, I much like this new full metal pistol being produced by Slovenia. The Rex-1 looks like if a HK USP and a SiG P220 had a baby. It's a standard hammer fired pistol, considering it has a decocking lever, most likely an SA/DA trigger which is good. It'll likely be chambered in 9mm NATO as well but maybe they might produce caliber variants, they've already got three different sizes available; Standard, Combat and Compact.

Also comes in colors Black, Olive Green and Flat Dark Earth, the latter two only being the lower receiver(grip, slide and levers remain black). They has a promotional video as well which I personally think could've been done better.


Another tidbit of interest, apparently DARPA has developed the first Guided .50 Cal Round. Called the EXACTO (Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordinance), the bullet is capable of being guided mid flight to it's target though I don't know what the exact science behind it all is. Video shows the bullet being guided to it's target point in thermal.

Yeah I saw the footage of the EXACTO already. I was so like "They already made the technology of smart pistol from Titanfall? Damn!"
I wonder how much that thing costs. I think they might have used a gyroscope technology but that is just a wild guess... I wonder when we get our hands on some declassified material on this.

Well whatever method they use, can we assume that if it's something implanted with the round itself, probably makes it incredibly expensive and complicated to produce as well as making it something less lethal.

Hot damn, Rex-1 is a real beaut. Would definitely like to run her combat in a CC holster.

EXACTO is quite amazing as well but I give it a year or two before they'll even think of fielding it.

In the meantime, check out this fine piece of clothing from Italian SOD Gear. Dubbed the Spectre Sniper System, it is a set of clothes comprising of a boonie hat, parka and ski-type trousers known as a "salopette"

The pieces are all lined with paracord webbing to attach vegetation, meaning you can practically use this with in any theatre of battle. Just grab some local veg and stick it on your suit.

Apparently one of the pockets in the salopette is designed for a radio and even has pass throughs for cable to run up to your headset if you got one. For now SOD Gear is selling this in their Hybrid Coyote Sage color but a picture featured is a prototype in PenCott Badlands pattern.
