The world is becoming overpopulated. How would you fix it?

This is why we need to get rid of nuclear weapons. Its getting in the way of having some good old fashioned wars. If we could just start World War III without instigating a nuclear apocalypse it would solve any overpopulation problems we may have.

But if you use nukes you reduce the earths total available living space, making the overpopulation problem even worse.
Besides, though it would indeed be easier just to use nuke, it would be a lot more fun to shoot at each other with tanks and machine guns.
