Nope. Already got it. It just gives me the error saying there's invalid character in the path to the folder when there are no invalid characters in the path.Mine works like a charm. Share more details of your error report.
I didn't know there was an update at all

Speaking of which, let's try Grief Syndrome later later. I am itching to see my debut of Evolve.

That looks like the message about having restricted characters in your folder path. Make sure the updater is reading your folder path correctly. Check for typo's. I think having a non-japanese system locale might be related to this.

I read some discussion in one of the Facebook pages (maybe it was one of the single-titled Touhou pages, but right now I can't remember) about how 'true fans' would scoff and rage at the whole KanColle phenomenon, something to the effect of 'KanColle sucks and if you check it out as a Touhou fan then you're not really a Touhou fan' and I noticed that this kind of behavior was getting a little trendy over here in Tokyo...
... then today I picked up Comiket 86's catalog and found out why: a LOT of the usual suspects that create Touhou doujins crossed over to creating KanColle content, and the fans are salty. Was it really such a big deal? >: I, personally, am not going to stop supporting the artists I love just because they're not drawing my personal interest for one con or two (if it lasts for like 2 years or so then yeah, I might be a little upset) but for the most part, I'm just like, 'okay you gotta branch out'.
Who's coming to Comiket? Day 2 is predominantly Touhou day once again, it seems. :3

My stand is pretty much the same as yours. I don't mind artists swinging over to KanColle for a while, it's not like we'll ever be short on Touhou doujins. If an artist that I like gets to do his job and release stuff, that's cool.
Personally I don't really bother with KanColle stuff- not because it "rivals" Touhou, it just doesn't interest me that much. The fact that almost all of the KanColle doujins I've read are filled with bad boat puns is also a factor.

Well... The problem was, I installed the game on a English locale. So, afterwards I switched to Japanese locale. That had darn screwed up my files. I switched back to English locale, after you said something about it, and it updated fine.
Now... just need to try this with Evo, though I don't know how?

I wont be at Comiket. People who say stuff like KanColle sucks and if you check it out as a Touhou fan then you're not really a Touhou fan are not really Touhou fans either. I'd bet the people saying that are butthurt over artists not doing what they want.
To gitaaa's point, Touhou has whole conventions and essentially a solid day of its own at Comiket. KanColle is getting popular to has nowhere near the established following of Touhou. Any artist wanting to make a name for his/herself would draw something popular but with as few competing artists as popular. KanColle would be a better choice than Touhou since fewer artists = more people looking at your work.
Touhou vs KanColle shouldnt even be a thing. Touhou completely out classes KanColle. Comparing the two would be like saying the K-On franchise is threatened by Kiniro Mosaic.

Very much so, Butterfly, I couldn't have put it better myself!
I don't know about you guys, but.. lately I do feel like I'm in this deep. xD Like, really deep.
Like, I don't even know what's it going to take for me to stop my Touhou fandom, personally.: will it be something else, a 'next big thing' to come out in a few years? Will it be ZUN himself doing something no one would have expected?
I like this series far too much! I've lived for a while and held many artists and groups in high esteem throughout life, but nothing like the Touhou Project...

Now that he has a child he may spend more time with his family compared to time spent making the next game. The next big thing could be ZUN saying he will retire after TH15/16/17/etc. I'm not going to speculate on the aftermath of that.

Looks like Angel Type's Patchouli.
My fragile heart is broken. What should I do with this third eye of mine.
You could try with and without multiplayer patch. According to the game's page, there are quite a lot of people who play Grief Syndrome, so I suppose the execution isn't going to be too difficult.

Tried playing Grief Syndrome with Zafu just before. It was mostly a lag-free ride.
Spoiler:
Zafu will provide how-to shortly. Please drink your tea slowly.

EYE'M BACK. (not really)[/h] (actually yeah I am)[/h]
I had a fun run with Jencat here with play testing GS Online. It was a swell experience to play it multiplayer and have another mahou shoujo watching your back. I pretty much nearly died in the TV world though, that stage was horrible.
THE HOW-TO GUIDE, BY ZAFIRA-SENSEI
As y'all know, Grief Syndrome by itself doesn't have a multiplay function, so you'll have to download this to enable it.
Apply the following steps after downloading the zip (the one in a button)
1. Unzip the contents to your Grief Syndrome folder. After doing so, move the save0.dat file into the save folder.
2. Run the patch file, which should give you an online.exe version of GS. Run it as Administrator.
If hosting - enter port(recommended 6112) and click host.
if joining - Enter IP(evolve IP) and port, click connect.
An english GUI for reference :
