Today I finally beat any Touhou game without using a continue. It was Ten Desires, on easy.

Now to do it again with every other character

Which character did you use ?

You must exploit the trance system to finish Ten Desires with ease, it's the reason why TD is comparable to IN in term of being the friendliest.
