What do your friends think of hentai?

just discovered by accident that some of my closest friends watch hentai, read h-manga/doujins and play VNs while me and my friends are drinking.
someone asked "what is your favorite porn actress/video"
everyone was silent but since intoxicated i said "i prefer reading manga/doujins and visual novels"
it was the same, no reaction from anyone until later when 3-4 of my friends asked me the titles and artist of the visual novels and mangas that i read

now instead of just asking for any updates on certain animes sometimes we also recommend VNs to each other
others don't like hentai but since we know each other for a long time nothing changes

Their first thought that comes to mind when hentai is brought up: Tentacles. That is all
My friends have hardly watched anime in general so hentai is hardly a topic in the group... but real porn on the other hand is welcomed for discussion.
