I'm unfortunately an optimist.

Honestly, I call myself a realist but, if I was forced to answer it with a optimist or pessimist answer. I would say pessimist.

which option should i choose to be an optimist, both options are the same though? anyways i chose half empty, so what am i?

a pessimist which is .... can't think right now but then again i have'nt been on the ball at all today

Glass half empty: Your a pessimist and look on the negative side (You concentrate on the missing half)

Glass half full: your an Optimist and you look on the brighter side (youconcentrate on the half that is still there.)

but what if u look at it the other way,

"only half is empty" - optimism

"only half is there" - pessimism

doesn't it work?

wonder why people dont look on the bright side who wants to concentrate on the depressing stuff as was stated in a previous topic try not giving a fuck.

That is the better way to put it actually. I was trying to put it that simply but, it didn't work out that way.



Human nature. Humans concentrate and remember the negative more than that positive. Its why optimists are relatively rare in comparison to pessimists.

Or how about this: It has half the amount of water than it used to have. Neither optimistic or pessimistic.

I have them on occasions.

Think about it. How many of those "really shitty" situations do you remember? Now, think about how many of those "Really good days" did you have in comparison? Now think about what you are (optimist, pessimist)

Normally, that leads people to know if they are an optimist (remember the good over the bad) or the opposite.

Wait I see it half full so I'm an optimist, and it means seeing the mroe positive side to thigns right? So that does match with me because I alwasy try to make thigns seem happy for me, violence, torture, and death = comedy for me.
