Mine's from the best Metallica song ever, Phantom Lord (I was crazy into their music when I was younger). But in most forums that is usaully already taken so I use my short form phatmlrd. I've gotten so used to it that I don't even bother to see if Phantom Lord is availabe.

I used to work in a place where everyone had knicknames. Mine was captain midnight. I shortened it to make it easy to type in.

my name has a deeper meaning. a 'lath' is a strip of wood. my dad is a carpenter who taught me all the different terms in the carpentry world. I use this username for everything i do online. warcraft III, world of warcraft (i used to play) my youtube account, and countless other things. its even my email.. O.o :D i like the name

my username came from the 2 characters that i created, I sometimes write stories when i'm bored, those characters have the same name (Joshua Ishiro, Joshua Yuka) so i just combined their surnames to make my username... well i usually just use ishiro but it's already in use so...

My name comes from a character which I created in WoW. The long story short is that my friend wanted to play with me on the same server so I've created a new avatar. I couldn't come up with a name so I turned on the TV and saw that Teen Titans started to air. And there it was... A badass villain who took out the whole team called: *drumrolls* Slaid!
After that I've got used to it and now I mostly use "slaid" as my username.
Edit: Of course I know he is called Slade but as I first heard his name I tought it was Slaid. :P

I came up with it eventually at Uni. the name of a character from one of my all time fav animes and the year of graduation from high school :D used it ever since, otherwise it takes me hours to come up with something else I'm comfortable with :P

The Wind Walker is what a call one of my characters in the never ending universe I am creating. Usually I use Sharzademar, but I felt different when registering. It feels odd, because some of my friends call me Sharzademar, who is a character loosely based on me. Being called the Wind Walker is a whole new experience. Sharzademar is analytical, intelligent, and often pontificates on the meaning of the universe. The Wind Walker, or Zephyr, is a little crazy, but not crazy crazy.
