I chose Nate River as my username since i'm very much inspired from his genuine intelligence(he is one of my fav anime characters) and the name fits me well so...

I chose my name because when I registered for another forum, I had just finished SHnY, and I thought Mikuru was fucking awesome, thus TehMikuruSlave was born. My other name I had until just a while ago, Demonkingty, come from the fact that my friends used to call me a Demon, and Ty is a short version of my name.

since kirbys adventure was the best game ever created back in the day, the pink puff of a creature became my genuine mascot for all things gaming. here in the present however, first person shooters have become the reigning champion of the majorities heart. i decided that kirby needed to step into the next generation of gaming, therefore devouring the generic fps battlefield soldier and becoming kirby with a gun. its a rather peaceful fellow, so instead of bullets it shoots stars... that poke your fucking eyes out. another thing you might not know about it:

Doesn't that subtitle apply to like 99% of the characters in Bleach? Seems the entire show is based around the idea that almost all the fights are won DBZ style simply by whoever happens to have the highest "power levels" at that given time.

If you don't know what a Kar98k is... shame on you! It's only one of the most awesome bolt-action rifles ever. Kar98K picture and Link!I know what it is, and I have the mosien irl.
I thought of my username because my friends and I started to play Call Of Duty online, about five years before I even heard of The Big Lebowski.

no.
Maybe the one fight between Kenpachi/Ichigo and MAYBE Ichigo/Byakuya. If you actually watch the anime and read the manga, "power levels" have nothing to do with the show. Kenpachi is the one exception because that's all he has. He's just a raging badass who loves to fight more than anyone.

I have, and that still seems to be mostly the case in most fights. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the show overall. I was just pointing out that in my opinion it seems that almost every fight in the end comes down to whoever can take/deal the most damage with their energy waves or whatever. The only ones that actually win without just relying on raw power/speed etc. seem to be sometimes Ishida and occasionally Rukia. Everyone else mostly just muscles/speeds/energy waves their way through the battle in the end (especially Chad and Ichigo).

But when you compare to DBZ, its nothing like that at all.. DBZ you have two people using the same technique (kamehameha) and while those beams are clashing, whoevers power level is higher wins. That can be related to the Ichigo/Kenpachi fight and the Ichigo/Byakuya fight when it comes down to finishing blows.
I guess it is the way you're describing it that is confusing me. "almost every fight in the end comes down to whoever can take/deal the most damage with their energy waves or whatever". Isn't that how the winner is decided in 95% the fights in ANY anime? Whoever outlasts the other's techniques just seems completely different to me than using DBZ's power levels as an example. eh w/e :?

I like penguins and I used to play Magic: The Gathering a lot. One of their joke sets has a card called "Curse of the Fire penguin". That and my circle of friends constantly adds "Of doom" to everything. Pencil..of doom. The Sheep of doom. etc. So I tweaked it to "Fiery Penguin"...of doom. That and I'm a leo and if you get into all of that I fall under the fire element in pagan religions. A lot of small reasons combined together really.
