I wouldn't say it is a problem of it being "wrong" per-se, but it really goes against the majority values. Generally, I can tolerate rape and incest in hentai to a certain extent, but it rarely ever turns me on. It's simply a matter of it going against what I've been taught and have planted a strong negative image to it to the point where I can think nothing but how horrible the act is.

If I were to make a comparison (difficult since fetishes reach far and wide), imagine reading a hentai that appears to have decent art only to suddenly realize that it appeals to the fetish of dismemberment (cutting off limbs). It's not real and most rational people won't follow the actions in that comic, but it's held in such a disturbing light to the majority that they will complain.

I really don't care for the rape mangas and don't read them!!!! I know people who have been raped and getting off to a manga about it seems wrong to me. But there are a few(I can count on one hand) incest mangas that I like which makes me a hypocrite for this sentence. I don't care for most incest and yes I pointed out that I liked a few of them but these are the ones where there isn't a blood connection with them. I can deal siblings throw marriage than actual blood relations . I know that manga isn't real but remember people this stuff do happen in real life. I recall a story in Florida where a mother and son were attacked in their apartment by five thugs and the beat the son and gang raped the mother then threatened the two with death if the son didn't do what they all did to her.

The reason why some people think it's wrong is because they translate what they see to their real lives.

I'll give an example, I saw that there is a Waifu game here on Fakku forums. That would be a good example of translating the fictional to their real lives. You know you could just say to yourself that some girl if your Waifu and the impact would be the same.

But still! Even if you watch real porn of a rape. Chances are that this video was set-up (yeah really, it was, I can tell from the lighting and I have seen some set-up porn videos in my life). The girl was never really raped, she was paid for, she wanted it at some point, how was it wrong? It's because you know that in the real life when something like that happens it's wrong. But it's not real!

I think for some people, they think one leads to another. Like if you're into rape hentai, you might be a rapist or something.
