I honestly don't know. they turned the frikin powerpuff girls into an anime the powerpuff girls!
yet they ignore one of the classics that nearly everyone in america would watch if it was turned into an anime, which would get them alot of money.

I love the Powerpuff Girls more than the anime version...
And if Scooby Doo did become an anime, I think many Americans would be outraged with how they changed everything. Japanese culture is vastly different from American. What may seem acceptable to an American may not be in Japan. Things will be really different.
And I think people will be enraged at how the Japanese butchered their beloved nostalgic cartoon >_<
