No, srsly, I wanna know. I've done it just how the books say it, word by word by word, I even do what thee internet say and with no luck as well.
I keep them hydrated and indirectly exposed to the UV rays, feed them the appropiate rations they should have.
I've done it all right except for the temperature, there's not much I can do about it /:

Not enough fucking of thou sister. Remove the dead skin and add lemon and salt to the new base for the skin regeneration.

What type of soil are you using? Generally carnivorous plants are used to nutrient depleted, acidic soil(minus the pitcher plant) and will die in anything else.

He new soil i use is basically dust+sand+fungus and normal dirt (I read hat the fungus helps alot in mantaining the soil swampy) but well the fungus dies due to the temperature. I feed them 2 - 3 insects/month

The fungus and your dry particulates probably moot each other and that combined with normal dirt results in what I would perceive as dry shit. I feed my pitcher plants at least 5-6 insects per month and they're in consistently saturated soil that I used previously with other plants to prevent nutrient "poisoning" per say.

But. . . isn't 'dry shit' good for them? Since swamps have poor nutritional soil?
Maybe I should feed the pitchers more and the Venus only need 2-3 per month since I read they waste too much energy in consuming animals and the snaches only work 2 - 4 times

1. Swamps actually have very nutrient rich soils and are very very wet.
2. Carnivorous plants don't fucking live in swamps but they do live in moist areas such as mountain footlands or grasslands near natural springs and rainforests.(well at least not the terrarial versions but even then the aquatic versions don't live in soil for the most part)
By swampy they probably mean moist. On another note. When I had Venus fly traps I fed them just as much as I do with my current pitcher plants. Generally the energy gain from eating an animal is offset by their innate ability to preform photosynthesis as well and by pure net gain as well. The only time you would not feed them as much would be if it's a small patch of fly traps or rather a small Venus fly trap or if the fly trap is losing its green color and shriveling, eventually turning brown in which it wasn't receiving enough energy through other means. Really I wouldn't worry about energy loss in the first place, plants naturally can move to face a light source so I expect that the energy it takes to snap closed is very low; in addition the digestion takes no energy as the juices produced are byproducts of chemical reactions extrinsic of the plant and intrinsic with its life and it basically is just a diffusion through the permeable part of the plant like what happens in roots of a plant.
