wish I was at the countryside

in the next few days especially tomorrow night and the next day (Aug 12 and 13). we will be experiencing meteor showers. I just wish I was now at the countryside or the beach where I can see clear skies and lie flat on the ground and just watch the skies...

instead I'm in the city and the skyline view are disturbed by protruding buildings and the rest are covered with clouds or smog

Even if I went to the beach, it wouldn't be clear skies thanks to light pollution. I can barely see the Milky Way where I am. If I'm lucky I'll be able to catch it and not get attacked by a coyote in the process.

Its been a while since ive seen one, too many city lights.

Never seen one. And here in the UK buildings aren't that tall, even in a place like London it isn't really that towering. I've only been there a few times.
