Xbox 360 vs. PS3
Xbox 360 vs. PS3
Voting for this poll has ended.

Me, I got the Wii first then I got the 360 last summer because I heard FFXIII was coming out on it. I buy as my wallet dictates. However, Mass Effect 1 & 2 have made the 360 a worthy investment for me. Also my sister's kind of took over my Wii for her exercise since I started college. Since I haven't touched the Wii in months I guess I'll vote 360.

Sorry for putting a poll you hate :(, but I'm basically new here, so I don't really know what was going on in Fakku Forum.

I am just used to the design of the playstation controller. For all my love for my PS2, I don't like the controller. I really hate the D-pad especially ... and L3 and R3.
Also, where are all the "I'm a Wii fag" votes? You disappoint me, IB.

There should be an option that says all.
I'm a pretty balanced person when it comes to console, so technically I view the PS3 and 360 as equals (I hate my Wii).
Reason why I see the PS3 and 360 somewhat balanced against each other.
360 has a triple cored system <harder AI (why do you think they only port L4D2 here?
PS3 has better Graphics Hardware <self explanatory
Though, if there was the choice of PC, I'd pick that instead.

@ GoodDay is that your real face ???Well Japanese games are better than western games
Objectively they're a lot less glitchy, yes. Western games are produced in a way that sees them lay the groundwork for the entire game first, then refine it to a releasable state. Japanese games tend to be produced in "slices", say a level at a time, and each slice is polished and tweaked before moving onto the next one.
The upshot is that western games are playable in their entirety from a very early stage and are usually much more open world and non-linear whereas Japanese games will only have small sections to play from an early state are more linear and limited. On the other hand, western games tend to be glitchy (example from Fallout 3: "Your party member may suddenly die on entering a new map", "Some villagers will fall through the ground of the village and disappear out of the game") and will be fucked if the game is rushed out by producers whereas Japanese games are very well put together and the only glitches tend to be hard to activate exploits rather than hilarious fuck ups. They can also be released whenever and everything will feel polished, if a little short.
That said, you'd be surprised how many "Japanese" games are made outside of Japan now, by western developers. For example, the next Castlevania, Dead Rising 2 and the last Silent Hill. Shinji Mikami (creator of Resident Evil, producer of games like Ace Attorney and Devil May Cry) said the Japanese games industry is finished.

Because the Japanese are buying less and less games, non-Japanese countries are buying less and less Japanese games, more and more Japanese franchises are being developed totally with western tastes in mind and more and more Japanese franchises are having instalments developed overseas.

But to the point where they'll eventually let go of their game 'style'? I might be very wrong on this one, but when I think of japanese games JRPGs instantly come to mind, and I don't see them doing that bad. Maybe you could point me to some articles that will give me a clearer view?

Let me say it like this:
Majority of the world's gaming is heavily populated by Western games thanks to high amounts of violence, sex and etc and the fact that majority of the world is "Westernized". Thanks to that Japanese games companies who want to survive try to edit or make their games more like Western games to attract more people to buy, and generally, most of the companies that stick in their original styles begin to fail.
Simply put: the gaming industry is a cold cold place.
