This seems unusually hostile for a "I am a this thing now, praise me" thread. I like it. I hope everyone adopts this stance and uses it on everyone including people they like. If you're not going to go with my new plan then I think some of you owe this guy (whoever the hell he is) an apology as I'm pretty sure I've seen most of you congratulate people in these bs type threads before.

and for something in the future:
To people who wants to make these kinds of threads, try not to make this thread sounds like "Praise me" thread. try making something that will make people give good feedbacks.

Now it's a real bother.

Yeah, I wouldn't have a problem with it if it weren't so publicly self-congratulatory. Unless I know the user deserves some recognition I'll refrain from comment, and leave the caring to people who actually know them, because it is fair enough - a change of title is a sign of prolonged commitment and contribution, and marking that little milestone is fine. What is deplorable is something like this, which not only asks for praise from all quarters, but indicates that the person has no awareness of the context of their post or the way they've written it; that's as well as the ones which claim that the person was forced to post it. I don't like to be so blunt, but let's be honest, that's bull. You wanted to, didn't because you know how lame it is and then someone mentioning it gave you an excuse. If someone else recognises your achievement, preferably in an in-jokey manner to keep it between people who actually know the person, then fine, but don't fob us off with that BS to validate your almighty contribution.
