How long did it take you build your PC?

Thanks to Fakku Dating, I met a dude who was willing to help me build a computer. Of course that meant that I needed to save up some money in order to build it. Originally it was an $1100 computer, but I decided on a $1600 computer build that was be more long terI have already saved almost $1000, but I am already getting discourage. For one, I got lucky at the Casino; if not for that win, I would be at about $330 right now. Second, is that I have been doing this without a part time job. I have doing this mostly by selling my precious game collection (R.I.P. T_T). Third is the time is coming to focus on school and I don't think I can find part-time work that will work my class schedule (doing club activities will be hard as well as I am taking six classes this upcoming semester). Plus as family birthdays are coming up and the holiday's are right around the corner, then I will allocate money to paying take care of that rather than put some money toward a computer. I guess that I am asking how long it took other to build it, is so that I don't feel as discouraged.

If you have all the parts then it takes a few hours.

as above, if you got all the parts and screws, it shouldn't take long if you what you are doing.

you can go for a mid range build $700 and then try to to sell it on for profit and keep on building and selling, even if you are making $50 on each build

Putting it together if you have all the parts isn't really that long. The most time you spent on this computer is trying to find all the parts separately. Time wise trying to get the money for parts might be a little longer if you don't have the cash or a credit card. I always like the barebones kit options then adding stuff that I really need like better hard drive, GPU, shit like that. Or try this https://pcpartpicker.com/

PC Part Picker Build This is a decent pc for about $1261 and some cents. Any one want to edit it to help bring it below 1000 for her/him? and putting it together you just want to set aside a Saturday since it's your first build.

1 think you might need is a screw drivers. I think phillips head screws are still the standard for computers. Not all cases are tool less so you probably will need a screw driver or pay for a more expensive case that is tool less.

Well it depends on the case (size and the way it's built inside)
the parts , if you know what parts you want to buy(depending on budget and what you want to get it might take a while)
and lastly , if you are OCD about cable management

If you have all the parts ready it shouldn't take more than few hours

As for me , the PC that I've built recently... It took me about 6-8 hours to build... about one to put all the parts in place... rest was for cable management... I've did job worth of C+ (there is hidden spaghetti monster in PSU compartment , and some loose cables from front fans)
