A silly question, but...

Has anyone gotten to be good friends or even started a relationship with anyone here?

I'm just curious, as I'm lacking in both myself currently...

I mean... I suppose people have met in even stranger circumstances, right?

I am good friends with many people that I have met here. I chat with many people on skype that I have meet on Fakku. In fact, every summer I visit one of my best friends in Sweden that Ive met here :D

Anything's possible. I have quite a few friends on here that I talk to and will potentially meet at some point at conventions or wherever. Relationships have started on here before, but it's not wise to treat this place like a dating site since it isn't so keep it friendly.

My advice is to make sure you read the Rules and FAQ of the site and to lurk around and see how people on here interact. Looking before you leap could save you from a load of butthurt.

Oh I'm well aware of how some people act. But like I said, I'm just curious.

Relationships? No, though I do know of some people here who did hook up from this site and went steady with each other.

Friendships? A whole fucking plenty, and I'm immensely thankful for them and the fact that this site helped me find them.

It's nice to hear that people have made friends here. Maybe I'll make few myself here. :)

Yes. I've met many people on this site (yet to meet up with any IRL though as most of them don't live in England. qq) and I have many of them Steam, Facebook and Skype. Even have a couple on PSN. It's awesome.

I've had a relationship started on here but a difference in personalities and across the pond's distance meant that it didn't last.

I know what you mean... I know some people go for looks, but personality is a big thing for me. As for distance, it is a big obstacle, but if it's the right person, I'd assume it wouldn't matter in the end.

I've made a few friends on the site but not a relationship, although I am in a relationship IRL with a user on this site.

Honestly, no one really "goes looking" for anyone on such a site at first. But when you make a forum board where people can communicate more freely with each other, connections are bound to happen. Shit* just happens from there.

*And by shit, I mean about 7 or so Skype groups, a handful of crushes, two hands full of broken trust, and a whole assload of great friends you never thought would ever real.
