Alcohol combinations

Do you like to be creative and make your own creative combinations and mixes?
This isn't limited to just cocktails either.
For instance, I'm always trying to find better things to add to Whiskey. Haven't quite found any thing that hits the spot yet though.

I make mixes at home quite a lot but I always drink Whiskey on it's own, though. If I have to add anything, it's water or ice.

I think vodka is the easiest spirit to mix. Gin has a very strong fragrance which is not appreciated by everyone.

A lot of people know this already, but skittles in Vodka is awesome. I only used the red and purple ones since I didn't want a mix of flavours, and it turned out really nice and sweet.

A very basic vodka drink I love is vodka + orange juice + sprite. It is basically a sweeter Screwdriver with sprite.
Sprite adds a lemony taste to it and it is fizzy <3

Peach flavoured vodka (hint: Absolut XD) goes really well with some orange juice and plum green tea.

Absinth is super pretty and yum with just Sprite, or just water and sugar.

But Gin is something that is made for being added with something else ideally though.

How can you resist?

Add lemon/orange/peach/pepper/anything to any clear alcohol and make your own favors.

Such as when people cut a hole in a watermelon and pour a bottle of vodka into it and then eat the watermelon.


As for myself, I prefer whiskey straight.
But for vodka I prefer vanilla vodka with Crush.

1 liter gin + 1 liter beer + 1 liter mango+orange juice = 2 of my friends crawled and rolled , including me.

Skittle vodka is amazing, had it quite a few times in the past,
Vodka + any energy drinks is also a plus
Jagerbombs are always tasty as well,
We also drink the 7 Deadly sins when we go out which are mixed drinks but they don't have the menu online so I cannot link it or tell you the combinations at the moment.

[font=Tahoma]Oh, and I just remembered, I once went to a party at my brother's ex-fiance's place and she had this drink called "Dragonspit".
I don't know exactly what she put in it (she was a bartender at the time too).
But it was a mixture of different alcohols and juice in a 2-liter and was red.
You had to drink it with a straw otherwise it would stain your lips red. It was pretty good. My friend and me killed it.[/font]

I like the minty flavour of Grasshoppers as well. It was actually my first cocktail.

I personally enjoyed mixing sun tea and whiskey.

Whiskey goes well with Cola.

Might be a cliché thing to have, but the sweetness coupled with the alcoholic zing of the whiskey makes JD and coke my favourite thing to drink.

I've yet to try any other combination though. Will have to get back to you on that.

Applejack (Very Hard Cider) 1 orange half juiced, 1 lemon half juiced, a little bit of maple syrup, fill shaker with ice and then put in the ingredients, and shake well. Serve in a martini glass.

I like coconut rum added to various drinks.

I think I might try it with cider tonight and see how it tastes.

Vodka, some sort of juice and tonic water.

[font=Tahoma]Now that I'm over 21, I have my "go-to drink" as well as a few others if I'm looking for something different.

My go-to is cranberry juice and whiskey.
If I want something sweeter is bubblegum vodka and cranberry juice. Also anything mixed well with cake flavored vodka, lol

The last time I mixed anything was a Black and Tan...does that count?

Pale ale + Porter or Stout.
