Art of a Prince

Kind of both. So far, with the pictures that I've colored and are actually somewhat good, imo, I drew by hand, then scanned it and went from there. I'll be coloring the Stocking and Kneesocks pictures next. (I actually started coloring Stocking last night.)

I plan on practicing drawing and sketching straight on the tablet, in order to remove the need to scan them by hand. But, like I said, I'm still working on that.

Can I ask: what tablet do you have? :3

Yeah, I mentioned a long time ago, but not really toward anyone, so I don't mind saying again.

I purchased the Wacom Bamboo tablet, after hearing and reading that it is a great product. After getting it and using it, I can safely say that that is very true. I love mine.



And the software that I use is the one that was bundled with the Wacom Bamboo tablet: Corel Painter Essentials 4. It's an excellent program, and it has a lot of things to help you out, including many video tutorials for various actions and sections. I'm actually still learning and getting used to everything that it has to offer, as there is a plethora of utensils that I have yet to even try, so I look forward to trying different art and coloring styles.

God damn son. Do more Kneesocks. :O~~~

I have been working on my coloring of my Stocking drawing for a few days now, and I'm just about finished, but not yet 100% proud of it (as if that'll ever really happen. Lol.), so I'll post it once I'm happy with it, then I'll be moving on to several other things at once again.

Okay, I added the shading and such to the tablet drawing of Stocking I've been working on, and it came out pretty nice (except for one thing. >_<), I think. So, without further ado, here's my first tablet drawing that I'm actually somwhat proud of. Lol.

And I'll be working on colring Kneesocks next, but I also have some other stuff that I've been working on, kind of, that I'll be doing, so I'm going to be flipping back and forth between things, so have patience.

I'm still working on the several requests, some a bit more than others, so they're coming along, albeit at a fairly slow pace.

In some down time yesterday, I felt like drawing lips (one of the random doodles I tend to do a lot on paper) using my tabelt, to see if I could do it well. I'll let you all be your own judge on whether I can or not. >_< Also had some fun learning more about the layers and such, so there was some stuff learned in it's process.

I don't want to sound all "ARTSY", but have your tried drawing eyes? I Mean "photo" realistic eyes (no toons).

Lol. Yes, I've drawn several realistic eyes before, but never on my tablet, always did it by pencil and paper. I love to draw eyes, including realistic eyes, so I'm sure I'll end up drawing several over time, be they intentional or otherwise.
