I think deep down, Harry Redknapp knew this would happen. Time for VDV, Bale and Modric to leave and the manager to switch mid-season, pockets brimming with Daniel Levy's bullion.More pertinently though, well done Chelsea. Incredible resolve, brilliant spirit and discipline. Defence was magnificent, lucky but magnificent. Even Bosingwa and Kalou played well. Luiz, Cahill, Cole and Cech were all completely outstanding, and Bertrand/Torres put in great cameos. Fate.
I think it came down to Bayern's inability to put their shots away. You can't afford to make 40 shots, with 33 on target, and NOT score! Their finishing was poor, and that helped Chelsea a lot.
Chelsea took their chances (what was it, only 9 or so shots in the game?!). Bayern probably thought they already had it won, especially being on home turf.
Oh absolutely. Robben is not a big game player, and Mario Gomez didn't have the experience to keep a cool head. Ribery had a decent game but went off with a perplexing injury, Muller and Kroos were busy throughout...but without Gomez, they don't have a born finisher to take advantage of their otherwise excellent wing play. Chelsea had Drogba.
The 5-2 cup loss to Borussia Dortmund must also have drained their confidence some. That said, Chelsea went in on the back of a couple of poor games too...albeit with a vastly weakened team.

Being the gambler that I am, I still believe in my conspiracy theory of London holding the Olympics this year, which is why an English team won the Champions League. ^_^;;
Keep an eye on Euro 2012. The national team of England may spring a surprise.

Joachim Low will have quite a task on his hands in the coming few weeks. At least 4-5 of the NT starters will have been playing in that game and their morale will probably be close to or at rock bottom.

Congratulations to Chelsea. They were more effective than Munich. Too bad that Robben miss the penalty in the extra time. 20 Corners weren't enough to beat the Wall from London.
But on the Euro 2012 the Germans will be come to the final. (maybe against England?)

You could have watched the League 1 Play-off final, but you didn't miss much. Grats to Huddersfield though, won it on the 11th spot kick. Simonsen missed the last for the Blades.

Liverpool's last 3 managerial appointments - an Englishman, an Irishman, and a Scotsman.
No wonder they're a joke.

Not really, Fergie created a legacy.
And the person will be the successor is not gonna be someone like Andrea Stramaccioni or Andre Villas-Boas, it's gonna be someone like Joseph Guardiola or Jose Mourinho, who have the experience of handling big teams and actually WIN TITLES.
So, don't get your hopes up high mate.

ORLY?
Okay, let's take a break and look at both Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson. Oh, and please do mind that even though I dislike England teams, Sir Alex is one of my most admired football figure ever.
Let's see, according to the records, MU has won 19 Premier League titles, 11 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, 19 Community Shield (15 won, 4 shared), 3 Champions League, 1 Euro Cup, 1 Euro Super Cup, 1 Intercontinental Cup, and 1 Club World Championship, a staggering 60 trophies in their history.
However, do mind that Fergie won 38 of their total trophy count, an astounding 68% of MU's total silverwares. Not to mention he did those marvelous records in just 22 years, where the team can only win 22 trophies in 109 years. Wow.
Looking at any other manager's CV, I don't think I've ever seen someone with such incredible CV as Sir Alex Ferguson. Of course, Pep won 14 titles in his 4 years in Barca, but do notice that he was unable to handle the pressure of being Barca's managar towards the end of his career there, as stated in goal.com a few days ago. His inability to handle the pressure of being a manager of such a huge club as Barcelona was proven by his inability to win Liga BBVA and at least their aim to reach the final of Champions League. And by all means, I did not mean that Pep is a "bad" manager, it's just that to reach the level of someone like Fergie, he still need more time.
And for Jose Mourinho, I can say that he "might" be a good candidate to replace Fergie's position. Unlike Pep, who only coached Barcelona so far, we already know how well he [Jose] lead Chelsea from a mid-class team to a top-tier team, gave Inter an incredible treble winner back in 2010, and also presented the La Liga title for Real Madrid this season. Jose has a vast amount of experience in managing in different leagues, and is capable of winning it, which is unlike Pep, who never coached for any other team than Barcelona. Sure, tiki taka was an awesome tactical innovation, but that style of play can hardly be applied on other teams, as they need incredible playmakers on par with Xavi and Iniesta's level, which I acknowledge as the world's current best playmakers. Not to mention that tiki taka was actually the strategy to bring out Messi's maximum performance, explaining why he played really well in the club and played just above average in his national team.
I said that Jose is the best candidate to manage MU after Fergie's reign is over. However, there might be some difficulties for MU to persuade the the Setubal-born manager to manage the team. I think it's mostly because Mourinho is already settling in Spain, and seeing that he just signed a new 5 year contract with Madrid on May 22nd, it would be harder for MU to convince the manager known as "The Special One". Besides, even if MU is prepared to pay a high sum to bring Jose to Old Trafford, it is highly unlikely for Madrid to loose their grip on the world-class manager, seeing that the club itself has no financial problem or in need of more funds, unlike Inter.

United only made their Facebook page a little over a year ago. We also have a lot of fans in Africa etc. who don't have regular internet connections, let alone Facebook.

Van Persie not signing new contract = Arsenal fans Rage.
Hilarity ensues.
As a Gunners fan, I say he can leave. Rather get money now if he isn't staying.
Anyway, Jonathan Viera went to Valencia. Good signing in my opinion.

I'm a bit displeased, but not as much as other arsenal fans. I want to see Giroud in action, loved what he's done in Ligue 1.

There is a rumor of Juvetus is racing with man blue to sign Gunner captain,i think if he want trophies then juve is the best choice and Arsenal now more like a market place for Man Blue than a football club
