i was introduced to it around 5 years old. my uncle whose about 10 years older than me watched guyver when he took care of me. after that i always graviated toward anime. speed racer, voltron, power rangers (japanse live action counts!!!), transformers, teenage mutant ninja turtles, hamtaro and a bunch of other animes i just thought was better looking cartoons. those shows helped to awaken my inner geek and i love them for it.

I wanna say I was like 8-9, when my cousin came to visit over summer break she used to bring her anime DVDs and Manga. At first I was forced to watch Slayers and Sailor Moon but I grew to love it, she also made me watch Kiki's Delivery Service and read Ranma 1/2 lol and well here I am. Her.. not so much. She got over anime while I ended up getting hooked 'cuz of her lol.

I chose 11 - 15, but quite sure the "first" anime i watched I was about ten/nine (so, in the late 90's.) It was an anime called Samuri Pizza Cats (before i knew what anime was); However, I actually got into anime when i was about 13 (early 2000) thanks to my cousin introducing me to late-night cartoons on Cartoon Network, first ones i saw were Inuyasha (which I'm happy to no longer be into...) and Kikaider.

My first ever anime was Sailor Moon that my older sister got me hooked up on watching when I was 5 or 6 ...
But then when I flew in America and lived there between 1999-2006 that is when I started watching many anime shows on television like Yugioh, Dragonball and Naruto, and yes ladies and Gents the highlights were also Toonami that rocked my world with Gundam as well and even adults Swim with Conan The Detective and Big-O and Cowboy Bebop.
Then later when I got Comcast service, then I looked at anime like crazy like D.n.Angel and such .... Hell even Peacemaker was a damn good show, and not to mention some Ecchi animes too to boot.
But it started around 2011 that I started looking at MANY different animes, and even learned a thing or two about them, which of course became paradise for my viewing pleasure.
So yeah, I gotta thank my childhood and teenage years with anime that I wanna become a Manga-artist.
I said too much, like I always do.
But I will say this, anime has been around my entire life and never will cease to exist, even if I get kids I will show them animes and such so they can have a wonderful childhood just as I had in my youth.

Since I was a baby, whenever my dad came back home from his job, he would put me by his side and watched Dragon Ball Z. Since then I've started watchin Pokemon, Digimon, Saint Seiya, Sakura Card Captors and many others that were in TV.

For me it was Star Blazers, Speed Racer and Robotech. I have a good size collection of Anime on DVD and Blu-Ray. The first big Anime Movie was "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" and Macross: Clash of the Battleroids"

When I was around 5, I remember seeing Speed Racer for the first time. Compared to the all the Hanna Barbarra stuff on TV, it blew me away. I remember G-force and Battle of the Planets as the next great leap. StarBlazers still haunts me as it confirmed me to be a complete space cadet. And by the way, this is all first run on TV. No stinking VCR's yet. I had to run my ass home in time to watch of miss the episode for who knows how long.
