At what age were you introduced to anime?

I started out with Toonami like most people, but I didn't actively start watching anime until 2004-06. After Desert Punk I got more active. Now, I have almost 50 days clocked on MAL just for anime, which isn't a lot. I started watching series after series last summer.

Ummm I think I was 10 and my mom brought home a hentai that she thought was a kids movie from the video store. But I dont think that counts... Anyways after that Street Fighter II on VHS. And then toonami and the rest is history.

I was raised on anime from my mother.
Mostly rewatching old movies like ghost in the shell, and things of that variety.

11-15 as a kid then I forgot then it came back on TV when I was about 16-20

I never thought of toonami counting since I never knew what anime was and I wasn't aware enough at the time. I always considered the last 2 years of Anime Central to be my proper introduction to anime that once it was gone I was able to continue watching anime since I had money and internet to do so.

as a kid Cardcapter Sakura, Pokemon, Digimon, Medabots and some hentai on the sci fi channel.

as a teen Dragonball Z, Tenchi Muyo, and One Piece (though it was 4Kids but I was a kid and I didn't know any better)

as a late teen slash adult Bleach, Gits, Cowboy Bebop, FMA, Wolfs Rain so basically the whole Anime Central line up.

lol. i don't know what you guys are tlking bout with toonami. my first anime was probably Dragonball, then Ronin Warrior, and salior moon. there also tenhoman too...but then, i was living in an age where cable was unheard of and i got all my cartoon/anime from WB, Fox, CBS, NBC and UPN. lol...too bad saturday cartoon don't last longer...used to be that it started at 5 and ended at 1, now it start at 8 and end at 10. kinda lame...

Dragonball and other toonami stuff was the first I can remember seeing. The first I ever really got into was InuYasha though:)

I was introduced around ten or eleven to rurouni kenshin on friday night cartoon network. I don't think it was toonami but around that time i guess

As my memory serves me right I'm around 8-6

First for me was Fire emblem on VHS still have it got it by mistake at a store loved it. After that it was toonami, then staying up late to watch outlaw star and cowboy bebop! Ahh so many school nights staying up till 2am watching anime lol!

Hmm...5 years old..and the first anime was Venus Wars and Akira, ninja Scroll oh ninja scroll changed my life...followed by miyazaki films,mobile suit gundam,

Robotech baby!!!!! And i was 5.

Started watching anime dubs around the age of 9 with what I think was Pokemon (before that it was mostly American cartoons like Duck tales and what not), graduated to anime subs when I was around 15, when I found the first few episodes of Tenjou Tenge on my brother's computer.

Dragonball Z, pokemon, sailor moon, monster rancher, tenchi muyo, shinzo, cardcaptor sakura, yu-gi-oh....the list goes on! Im 20 now so i would say round 1996-98, still Watchin, still lovin!

Anime4Life!

Around 6-10 ? Well.. I don't have much memories from my past but My first anime was Cardcaptor Sakura . And my second anime was Shakugan no Shana. :3 I was really excited to watch Shakugan no Shana at that time !!

The first animes I saw was Ranma 1/2 and Yaiba back when I was like 4 ish in the Philippines.moved to America and saw all these cartoons then found TOONAMI.
