I grew up with a television for a parent, so the first thing I ever really got into was Uchuu Senkan Yamato. And then Mobile Suit Gundamn. And then FotNS. And then Grave of the Fireflies, Akira, and Kiki's Delivery Service. Then Yu Yu Hakusho, Macross, Dragonball. And I remember getting an accidental peek at Lolita Anime.
That was '93 up to '95. Fuck. Being three was fun.

I used to watch sailor moon a lot when i was little. Princess Mononoke was the first anime movie that i watched, and I've loved it ever since.

My brother introduced me to anime about when I was fourteen... If I remember correctly the first movie was X and the second... hmm... I can recall bits and pieces but not the title or even what it was about.

Around the early to mid '90s with Dragonball, Sailormoon, etc. playing daily on tv. Even had some old school VHS tapes like Voltron. Those were the times.

For me what got me into anime was Animax. Rurouni Kenshin, or Samurai X as Animax calls it was just too awesome not to get hooked on.

Getter Robo, Robotech, Voltron, Ulysses 31, Battle of the Planets/G-Force/Gatcha Man, Golgo 13, Ranma 1 1/2, Guyver, Hakuto Shinken (Fist of the North Star), Gundam 0079. Damn, even as a 8 year old child I was hardcore. You all better stop it with those cute girls doing cute things and watch some real anime.

Like a fair few before me, Pokémon is what I was first introduced to upon visiting a pal's house of mine ages upon ages ago. I suppose I must have been around 10 or 11 at the time, but it has been so long that there is no telling. After that, I eventually came to find Toonami and Adult Swim soon after (during the good old days when they played things such as Yu Yu Hakusho, not this Aqua Teen... stuff). It absolutely enraptured me. "What is this new and refreshing art style?" Though of course as a younger tyke, it was more probably along the lines of "This is awesome!"
As far as the year goes, I am truly clueless. Prior to the year 2000, of this much I am certain. Most probably around 1997 or 1998 if I had to throw down a rough estimate. Very rough.
