Band merchandise
0
So, I looked the first 10 pages back and I could not find a topic concerning this.
My question is: Do you own any band merchandise (it can be anything, t-shirt, hats, posters, hoodies, patches, pins, etc.)?
If yes, what do you own and do you have some cool limited edition stuff?
If no, why is that and/or are you planning to get some at a point?
In addition, do you have any positive or negative experiences caused by merchandise you are willing to share?
I will kick things off, I have a ton of band t-shirts and a few hoodies from a lot of my favourite bands, however I also got some limited edition In Flames posters and patches that came with some box sets. Aside from that I got a limited edition Immortal zip hoodie, and a limited edition Engraved Disillusion t-shirt.
The reason I like band merch is because I really like supporting the bands I like and introduce other people to them. If people wear band t-shirts, it is also a great conversation stater at festivals if you ever need one. Just ask about the band on the shirt, I am sure most people will happily engage in a talk about their favourite artists. A good example of this was a couple or of years ago where I was on my way to a metal festival and a complete strangers addressed me while waiting for the bus since I was wearing a shirt of one of his favourite bands, he was headed to the festival as well and we ended up having a great time during it.

Well I got a couple T-Shirts from Protest The Hero, Parkway Drive, In Flames, Soilwork, Milking The Goatmachine, Kvelertak, NOFX and Heaven Shall Burn.
I don't really look for any special editions, if I like it, I take it.
I am planning on raising my count of Band t-shirts.

I always buy CD's and sometimes T-shirts. I don't have the guts to invest in anything more expensive, although I have bought photobooks and stuff.

I have some local and unknown band merchandise. Like an album from my Cousin's band. I have a cassette tape from this one band (it came with an online download code for the ep since most people don't have cassette players anymore) and I also got a beer koozie from them as well.
I have merchandise from some more well known bands as well. I've got 2 Pennywise band T-shirts; one I bought online and the other I bought at a show after seeing them live. I bought an album from a band called Gob (they we're somewhat big in Canada during the early 00's, had songs on some NHL games and had music videos played regularly on music television when that was still relevant.) I also got my ticket signed by one of the guitarists (Theo, if anyone wanted to know).
I'm going to see Bad Religion in Vancouver this summer. I've already got one t-shirt from them (bought online). I'll most likely be buying some merch when I'm there. And probably some overpriced beer ($6.50CAD for one fucking bottle of domestic beer, yet you have no choice unless you get fucked before the show.)

I have a few local bands shirts and pins I put on one of my hats I will wear to a show. Then a few of my favorites bands like The Swellers, The Flatliners I got shirts of. I always want to get shirts for my favorite bands but I never really liked the art on the shirt enough.
Outside of shirts I will buy cds are shows otherwise I doesn't collect other stuff. Though I did buy a vinyl record for a local band called Sink the Bismark, but I bought that cause really loved hear them and wasn't much lol.

If I'm not mistaken the flatliners played a show in my hometown. I didn't go but at least they played. We also had Lagwagon and Gob come as well.
