Be honest, Do you lie?

I lie but not for serious things and most of the time jokingly revealing the truth shortly after, but when I am asked for serious things like my feelings for example I tell the truth every time regardless of the consequences.

I am in no way a compulsive liar.

I usually tell the truth even if it wouldn't benefit me. There are certain circumstances I feel it necessary to lie, however. They're really rare and specific though.

I do, and have long since stopped feeling guilty about it.

Bottom line, people don't need to know everything, and if you make a lie a reality, it won't be a lie.

...Right?

Besides, everyone lies. Always. About 40 times a day, on average. Although these are not the kinds of "big bad lies", but mostly half-truths or small-time stuff that we do to not antagonize our friends/family etc.

Like saying that the dinner was excellent, even though it was just above average at best.

I never lie, it benefits nothing. I have never been in a situation where i have to.

If i do not want to tell the truth i say nothing at all~

I've lied to keep myself from getting into situations I don't find favorable, and I usually find something to back me up so the person believes me. otherwise I would just tell the truth

I lie alot for various reasons ...

I lie to those that lie to me ...

I lie to protect or help someone ...

I lie to avoid any troubles that might build up in the future ...

I lie so I can see the dumb expression on my friends's face ...

and I lie to not make my family worry about my various situations.



I lie for various "GOOD" reasons.

Of course, I do lie but not to the extent that it becomes a habit and eventually making my whole life full of lies including my own identity. The second question is ridiculous. Fabricated lies, white lies, black lies, deception, hypocrisy, and other kinds of lie. Name it. I can't exactly count how many times I lied, and I'm sure that I didn't even realize some of it. Compulsive or habitual lying is termed as Pseudologia fantastica.

Inevitably, it has been already a part of our life even since the ancient ages. Lying is a part of human nature considering our ability to communicate using various forms of language; actually even animals do lie using their own means of communication, mostly by deceiving others. I have watched some documentary videos about animals, so I could safely say that there are really some intelligent creatures who can lie. At the end of the day, it is still up to us to reveal the truth around us. Our world revolves around truths and lies wherever we go.

I lie to see how gullible that person is.

Only when someone asks me to keep something private, and then I have to lie to cover that secret.

You keep track of how many time you lied??? A lie is a lie, doesn't matter big or small, whatever you mean.

I don't even know how many time I lied the past couple days (I kind of build a career around it) nor to how many people. The only thing I know who I want/will be honest with. That I remember, because is usually people that matters to me.

I know that people would lie to me. As long is not meant to be hurtful, I can understand. Of course, I would still rather hurtful truth.

I do it but just a bit, either for covering someone's secret, not worrying too much the people around me with something happening to me (up to a certain extent though) or simple little things.

Aside from that it's always the truth with me, I'm more honest than I should be most of the time xP

i lie once in a while when i dont want to get in trouble or i really dont want to tell someone something

I do every often or so. depending on the situation.
