Dakimakuras anyone?

Wish you luck with that, man. :( There have been a couple of times where I've been tempted to contact Yokatta (usually for a Mandarake item) and just say, "Look, I've dealt with you a few times in the past. I expect the item I'm requesting to sell out shortly, so if you could please purchase it now, I can send the money in the morning." Don't know how that would work, but if you've dealt with them in the past a good number of times, it might be something worth trying in a similar situation.

Yeah, would be nice if Yokatta offered that service. They offer great service and good fees, but the waiting is terrible. I'd rather pay a little bit more to know the item I want is secure than to pay less and end up with nothing.

edit: Well, considering the shop doesn't open for another 1.5 hrs and it's now back to sold out looks like my bad luck continues. Looks like I'll get another email of out of stock from Yokatta as well.

I'm figuratively banging my head against a wall right now. I'm not cut out for this, I like control and no one is offering me any control that I can find and it's very frustrating. Knowing something is right there, yet you can't do anything about it is very frustrating. :(

As Shashin already knows, my post today had the same disappearing problem that his has had. I mentioned in the post that they told me it was due to explicitness, for clarity here is the exact response I got (I think this is actually from Danny himself not a site admin but who knows!).

I can't remember exactly what you guys (Shashin and Vietxmikey) posted, but I guess it fell into those lines somehow. A few rounds of censoring later and my account's posts are showing again. So, rather disappointing that that is why, but at least you know what to do to get them fixed if you want to..


For the future, I'm pretty sure that if you send Yokatta a payment of the item price plus ~900yen (their fee + bank transfer fee) they will buy an item immediately for you if you in the accompanying e-mail explain that it's urgent and you'll pay any remaining fees (shipping) as soon as they tell you what they are. They likely won't buy it if you just ask them to, regardless of your credit history with them.

Willowywicca, the explicitness factor might explain the issue I've been having with Figure.fm. Though it still seems pretty strange/inconsistent. The only post of mine that is in the directory is my first Evening Call post, and it's about as bad as the other Evening Call post (I guess the Dizzy is a bit more detailed.) In your case it seems a bit strange because as far as I can tell, your previous posts have shown up on the front page when you've posted them. Unless that's wrong and you had to wait a bit for them to be approved, then it seems odd that this one post would not appear on the front page immediately either (and then be removed at a later point.)

I guess I'll try doing a tamer post next time and see where it takes me. Though I never did get a response back from my support inquiry, so call me jealous. :P

I think your entire account gets flagged as blacklisted, so all posts will be hidden (as my Sale post got hidden as a result of the new collection post being explicit). You will probably have to contact support again and find out which posts to fix to get unblacklisted.

It's likely my post was very briefly on the main page before getting moderated, as I did get over 100 views by the time of your first comment, which is unlikely if it was never there. I merely didn't check myself to confirm it so can't know for sure.

Edit: Just noticed Danny just also tweeted a link to the Mirai Mark censor icon I was given to use on my post, so yep it was him who responded to my support request!

Good information on figure.fm willowywicca. That's definitely nice to know, although not sure why the rules are like that. They have the NSFW feature so if you check that off, all bets should be off. If a user clicks a post labelled as NSFW it should be their own problem with what they see.

It's a shame that dakimakura covers will have to be censored. While cospa a few other do tamer covers, most would have to be censored and that's a shame. Not only is it a lot of work to censor all your images, but it's destroying the beauty of the original work. I'm of the opinion that no matter what the content is, I hate censoring. I believe all art, whether music, television, merchandise, etc. should be appreciated in its original form.



Thanks for that bit of information. I'll keep that in mind for the future with them. I don't mind paying in advance, so long as it works. I'm currently waiting on a refund from the one proxy since I obviously didn't get the item. Just have to try and cut down the amount of steps that it takes to get an order in. Need them as fast as possible. :P

edit: Well, I went with Yahoo Auction. The price was 14800 yen, which was only 2000 yen more than the retail so not too much. The fees will be a little high, but this will be my last auction for a while. Unless I made an error the fee will be around 7500 yen if I go with EMS shipping.

I could of saved about 2000 yen if I went with another service, but they ban adult items and haven't responded to my question about this cover yet. I doubt they would say yes, but took too long. I find it weird that they ban adult items. It's legal in both Japan and my country so it should be okay for them to do so.

Ah well, I'm happy now, until I have to pay my VISA. :(

Honestly it wouldn't be so bad if they had a solid set of rules; as of right now, we're basically left guessing as to how the whole system works.

When I clicked your post from the Twitter feed, you had maybe 60 views. I clicked the main page after that and your post wasn't up there. So while it's definitely possible it could have been up, they'd have some really fast moderation for them to take it down before I saw it. My posts also tend to get the first hundred views really quickly and then slow down a lot after about 300 or so, despite not being listed on any pages at all.

Going back to the whole account blacklist thing, that would be fairly weird given that I have one post that shows up in the directory while my other posts don't.


alamarco: I definitely agree with you there, though I guess the thumbnail shown on the main page for NSFW posts is "ecchi" which implies NSFWness but not of the very explicit sort. Still, I think it's a bad practice not to have a set of rules as to what is and isn't okay.

Glad you were able to pick up the Fatalpulse cover; 15k really isn't that bad of a price for a cover you really want. I ended up paying 20k for mine, and while I don't look forward to paying that bill, I know I'll be happy with the case once I have it. ^^

I don't know what is wrong with the website, to be honest. I'm looking back to my last two dakimakura posts; the Mai Shiranui cover made it to top page but my Komachi one didn't. The Mai Shiranui seem to be more revealing, but it made it to front page. The Komachi cover didn't make it to front page, but I didn't get a warning either.

The one thing that doesn't make sense to me is my recent post, which is the Kobato and Maria cover. That cover pretty much pushed the boundaries -- loli + scissoring and the exposure of the vags plus juice, in my book, thats pretty explicit(at least for a cover). I mean, it didn't make it to front page but what really surprised me is that I didn't get a warning like you did, Willow. I'm thinking the reason why you might of gotten something like that was maybe the emphasis on the vag, or it could just be how detailed the genitalia was.

You are right, Alamarco. The NSFW tag is pretty much a "enter at your own risk" sign.

I didn't get any warning either, I contacted support and only then replied to let me know what was the problem. Really, the mods should send an quick e-mail stating why a particular post was blacklisted rather than leaving people completely in the dark as they did. I think the reason I got a quick response to the support claim was that I filed it as a bug and so Danny himself checked it rather than the mods who probably check the normal support claims.

The one was listed a day earlier and is more expensive. If I had to guess it would be the cheaper one that started a day later used the same image.

C82 definitely was madness. This was my first time trying to get items from them. I can definitely say it's stressful. :P

Yeah, noticed this a few days ago. I'd say alamarco has it right. I've dealt with indt33 before, so I'd trust him more than the other guy. It's also worth noting that it really can't be a relisting because the picture is of the actual dakimakura cover, which wasn't shipped out until the 20th or the 21st. So there really wouldn't have been any time for him to rip the picture from the other dude.

But what if he took it from someone else then and that other person had a Buyout so their auction is no longer available? The plot thickens! ;)

This is where I say my memory is good for useless things. With as often as I've been refreshing auction pages since C82, I can tell you what's up. :P According to my Google homepage, the Ankokoubou YJA page is my third most visited page, only behind Fakku and Mandarake.
