Marks and Ankokoubou do mail order pretty infrequently, and they're always short; usually 48-72 hours, so it can be very tough to get an order in with a proxy. Both circles don't publish sample images much either, so it can be difficult to dredge up shots of some of their covers. Btw, any mention of Anko Koubou on Reddit was almost 100% done by me (I go by DakimakuraGuy over there.) :P

Their website usually just has the newest update for whatever event and such that they're attending. The best way to keep track of when they're doing a web order is either following them on Twitter or just keeping an eye on the dakimakura blog.

I'd say Marks probably does 3-4 mail orders a year, while Anko Koubou is probably in the range of 0-2.
Both do almost always participate in Comiket, as well as many other events throughout the year (the next is My Wife, which takes place next weekend, I believe.)
Also, as far as YJA goes, if you have any knowledge of the Japanese pronunciation, you have a good leg up on everyone else. YJA has a pretty good search filter, so as you start typing stuff in (even in English), it will list suggested results underneath. So by typing Ma-kusu, you can select the Japanese for "Marks dakimakura". Similarly, typing in ankokoubou will produce the same result for Anko Koubou.

Sure, I always order from japan ^^ Mandarake is really good for int orders, but you have to take care of bootlegs (fakes) and used (really used) covers. They always sell their covers as second hand/used, but most (!!!) of them were never opened and are brand new.
For other stuff you can used rinkya, yokatta, SMJ, noppin, etc. just try searching "japan shopping service" or "japan proxy service", also there're many hints and information here, on reddit, MFC and sometimes on figure.fm.
I never had any problems with customs and I live in Germany :S For a single cover I use SAL registered or unregistered, depends on the item price and request a declaration under the actual value. For multiple covers I choose FedEx or other express services. After a few times I stopped using EMS, they're pretty good, but the national contractor, in my case DHL Express, has the worst service ever. I got my SAL parcels faster than the other ones via EMS :/

I've ordered from Dakemakura before and they make good covers. I was impressed as it was my first cover from a circle. They ship internationally which makes it easy and cheaper to purchase since you don't need to rely on a proxy.
One thing to keep in mind is that unless it's already in stock it can take around a month before they can ship you your order. It all depends if they need to produce one or not, but it's worth the wait as it's nice to see a company that produces their covers at any time. :)

Never had any problems with customs and I order stuff from Japan all the time. I've never ordered from Dakemakura directly, but they're apparently willing to ship internationally if you email them. I wish you luck in doing so. :D

Indeed, it's pointless to buy what other people may like. All that matters is your personal tastes.
Hmm the Type1 cover from bwstore seems to have been changed to have less clothing on the front side.. I prefered it how it was before :( Hope they give two options of the two variants of it.. Also they've not gone up for order yet so I guess the artists are a bit behind schedule in finalising them..

Hmm, yeah. It still looks great though, so it's definitely one I'll be picking up. Good to see we finally have a sample of 3, but it isn't one of my favorites. I'd probably go 1 -> 9 -> 6 -> 5 -> 7 -> 4 -> 2 -> 3 -> 8. Though obviously that may change as sketches and coloring is finalized. Will still be interesting to see if trying SMJ is an option for ordering them and I'm really curious to see if they offer a multi-purchase discount.
Edit: Comparing the before and current sketch, it looks like they changed the facial expression a bit of the brunette on the back side. It looks like her tongue isn't sticking out and it actually changed the look significantly.

Yeah I'll still be getting 1 and 9, baring any last minute disasters in the finalising of the images. Think I wouldn't get the others, unless they somehow become amazingly nicer with proper coloring/shading (not impossible.. it really can make a huge difference done right).

Definitely like the little bit of clothing on the original image, but I'm not sure which facial expression I like more. The original just looks kinda slutty which is always good, but the new expression is much more reserved, and possibly hotter; like she's exhausted after a lot of fun.
I'll definitely be buying 1/9, and likely 5/6. Any others would depend on finances, finishing touches, and if they offer a multi-purchase discount.

Hmm, in the past bwstore have been doing 2 versions of the covers by murasame yui so I think it's pretty likely we'll see two versions of the type01 cover too.

We can only hope. I was a little unsure about this specific cover though, given that it's a set of 9 covers which I'm assuming are going to be available all at once. That's a pretty massive number of items for them to make available at once; Evening Call usually adds in batches of 3-4, and that's a lot (loli Rin And Sakura are available again for any interested, btw - I'd highly recommend them to any leaning towards them, the Rin is easily one of my favorite covers.) Dakemakura is the only circle I can think of that frequently adds that many covers at one time, and that's quite obvious with their very large selection of items.
