First loot post here! Just got a package from Evening Call after it being stuck in customs for three weeks for whatever reason. Also a bundle from Yokatta; suppose I'm trying to get my Carnelian and Pen fix this time around.

I order Fate/Ignis (my package was stuck in customs for about 3 weeks, but it was right around the New Year), the blonde Carnelian chick, Marks Race Queen Miku, and I really, really wanted the silver haired Carnelian chick (missed out on the order, but it pops up on Mandarake pretty frequently.) I also flip flopped on the Tony cover, but probably won't pick it up unless it's really cheap; this is actually probably one of my favorites in terms of the girls/poses, but I'm tired of Tony's art, overall.

I actually picked up the Tony Cover before the resale happened since I wasn't sure there was going to be one. In regards to the silver-haired character, I really like Carnelian's work and I also really like the circle Stylus, they always throw in some extra random stuff when ordering with them; in this case, it was the drawstring bag in the top-right and some illustration cards/boards, so it was a must order for me.

Yeah, I debated the Tony cover after the event, but it has been in my experience that he does almost always do a mail order afterwards. I made the mistake last year when he sold the cover at C81 in Smooth Knit (and not a good Smooth Knit...)and then about a month later he released it in 2WT on Toranoana. So I learned my lesson there to wait.

I love the stuff Stylus puts out too; I own 5-6 of their covers now, with another 2-3 sitting with my proxy. The bags are a really cool extra, and they make for pretty great dakimakura storage (as seen here), but I just didn't have the funds available at the time to order the Carnelian cover. Definitely one I want to pick up at Mandarake some point in the future, or if Stylus offers it for resale at a later date.

My first update after a while! I have more then what is shown but the spares are opened and used.I'm really pleased with the Kyonetsu Asuna cover, really anticipating the Sena,Yozora and Kobato cover.

This set of tapestry made me confused, because I got this from a cradle set. and the taps are from cyclone. :/

Did you not order the Cyclone tapestries? I won a set of them through SMJ 3 weeks ago, and they haven't received them in Japan yet.

And nope, going to be requesting an order pretty shorty... but I was waiting on the Cyclone tapestries to arrive. :P

Anyhow, I really hope my Anko cover isn't a dude.

Not really sure what advice to offer on storage, as I'm definitely in a similar position.

*Scratches head* You should probably drop them a mail.I can't really remember what orders I have because I had quite a lot and I was busy with some legal issues these past few weeks. But to be certain,The tap has my username tacked onto its bubble wrapping. I know I whacked several taps but the most standout to me was my asuna from zankirou which is now hanging on my wall.

Can you post the auction ID, or PM it to me if you aren't comfortable posting it. I was starting to worry that the seller screwed me over, since 3 weeks is a pretty long time to not have something come in (5 weeks is the longest I've waited for an auction, and that only happened once.) It's definitely possible we both ordered a set of the tapestries (and I did order them as a set), but it's just a bit strange considering I'm waiting for a set that hasn't arrived yet.

Also quite a large amount for your first posting, have you been collecting dakimakura for long?

@Zengar another great collection of loot for you too :) I can't give much advise on storage though, I'm already running into issues with only like ~140 covers or whatever it is I have now, let alone the ~500(?) or so that you have.

I believe it's been about two to three years of collecting, which started with a few of Tony's earlier covers. This last set probably put me in the ~80 covers range.

Haha, yeah, that's pretty much how I started too; I bought two of Tony's covers on YJA. But I was using a different proxy at the time, and they only shipped once a month (had just missed the cut off date), so even though they were the first two covers I had purchased, I had already received a few others by the time that they arrived. That was back in early 2009, I think.

Hmm, I guess I got started just as the end of 2008, getting volume 13 of Dengeki Festival for my first one (of Kanu from Koihime Musou).

Going by the past, I guess this is going to end up with some totally retarded bids on YJA once the prizes do get given out:

Yeah, if the limited mouse pad of a few years back is anything to go by, I could definitely see the dakimakura going for 100k+.

Wow. Now that's a shit load of covers! I don't even want to know how much was spent in total to amass a collection like that.

What are you using to keep them...fresh? I take it that's what those vibrantly colored little boxes are, yeah? Are they scented? I'd be scared to use anything with a scent in an enclosed area out of fear of any sort of dye or stain the perfumes could leave over time. Not to say that it will happen, but I'd prolly want to use something like Arm N' Hammer, or something similar.

Those are dehumidifiers. The one that is green are lime scented.
