They're generally not recommended by the users of this thread, due to their (lack of) quality and the fact that they're, well, bootlegs. It's unfortunate that most people are exposed to bootlegs to begin with, because legit dakimakura covers are quite a bit more expensive and most who see the price of a bootleg generally aren't willing to give a legit cover a try, given the difference in cost. I highly recommend that everyone try at least one legit cover.
So if you're still interested, I'm more than happy to pull up some Luka options for you, but keep in mind that they're likely to be a good deal more expensive than what you linked.

Just got a small package courtesy of Yokatta yesterday with some Rabbit-net stuff and some Toranoana goods. I was pleasantly surprised when I found a freebie Karory bath poster which I'm assuming came with the Toranoana stuff I purchased. As interesting as it is however, getting the poster hot enough for it to actually work is another thing.

Haha yeah, bath posters with the disappearing ink don't work too well in western showers/baths; you pretty much have to keep a constant stream of water on it in the shower, which is counterproductive to showering. I imagine they'd work better in Japanese style baths, which have a lot more moisture in the air.

Can you please, Shashin? I'd really appreciate it, I've never bought one before so I didn't know about there being bootleg ones and I don't know how to tell which ones are legit. Thanks for letting me know guys, you learn something new everyday I guess.

No worries, man. Unfortunately bootlegs are incredibly easy to get started with in this hobby. It's largely because most legit covers are sold by small doujin circles (if you're aware of Comiket or doujinshi, I'm sure you know what I mean) that don't deal with an international audience; a lot only sell at these events and the ones that do sell online don't usually ship internationally. So there's a limited number available to an English audience (AmiAmi/Hobby Search ship internationally and carry some dakimakura covers, but only officially licensed ones.) Whereas bootleggers have English websites. So if you do a Google search for dakimakura cover, you'll either end up on a site like AmiAmi or a bootleg website.
The other major difference is that legit covers usually have a limited preorder window; they're expensive to print and they're sold by 1-2 man doujin circles; if they print up a ton and they don't sell, they're out of luck. So also unfortunately, if you miss the preorder window on one that you really want, it may be more expensive to acquire because you have to buy from the secondhand market (Mandarake, YJA, etc..)
I'm heading out the door in a minute, but I'll look around to see what's available when I can. :D

The main problem is most of these were released years ago, so some of them could be pretty hard to find now. If you see one you like, I'll do my best to find it but there's no guarantee that it will be available (or cheap.)

Bootlegs...oh boy, here we go again. ;)
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish...
Hi Erogamer, welcome to what I'm beginning to think is the most comprehensive thread dedicated to dakimakura collecting on the planet...well maybe the most comprehensive english-speaking one. ;P
You might want to register for a new account with www.rinkya.com and/or www.shoppingmalljapan.com. They are proxy bidding services which will allow you to buy/bid direct from Asian-based sellers/retailers. Immensely helpful in dakimakura collecting, and just about anything you wish to import.
Also, bookmark these sites:
http://blog.埋もれる抱ãæž•er.jp/ (more detail-specific)
http://www.nijigenshingu.info/makura/log/index.html (more all-encompassing)
http://www.dakimakuradb.com/ddb/ (less reliant, but still worth bookmarking)
Oh, and a decent blog for good measure:
http://www.dakimakura-cover.com/
That should give you more than enough to chew on for a while.
If you have any questions feel free to post them here or DM one of us. Happy fishing. :)

Thanks to both of you for the links and tips! +Rep for both of you, Kobun I'll do yours after 24 hours ^^

By the way Shashin, I really like these three links the best out of all the ones you listed. My absolute favorite is the first link:
http://www.toranoana.jp/mailorder/cit/pagekit/0000/00/04/000000047792/index.html
But in case that one isn't available, the other two are second and third place. If you don't mind, could I take you up on your offer to see if these are available please?
I wonder if I'd be allowed to buy explicit ones like these since I still live at home...lol

The easiest one to order would be the last link; the circle keeps most of their catalog available for order all the time (and they have over 1000 covers now), and they state in their FAQ that they're willing to ship internationally/accept Paypal. I'll look around for the other two, but unfortunately they're no longer available from the circle directly, and thus it's a matter of luck if you'll find them or not.
The first one doesn't appear to be available unfortunately, but here's the artist's Pixiv page: http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=112316
The middle isn't available, however, a similar one by the same artist is. It has Luka on one side and Miku on the other:
http://kirishimanoa.blog47.fc2.com/blog-entry-34.html
http://page4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/d140167715
So the easiest (and cheapest) would be the Dakemakura link. The middle isn't exactly what you want, and would be fairly expensive after proxy fees. If you knew someone who could speak Japanese relatively well, you could always try emailing the artists to see if they have any spares hanging around, but that's usually pretty unlikely. Still, if you knew someone who could ask for you, it probably wouldn't hurt to do so.

My Momo came in today. She's gorgeous!
I knew the back had a vaginal shot, but was hoping the front didn't. I don't mind displaying breasts, but I had to cover the vaginal region with another pillow for my front display. :P
Here's a few shots of the front and back.

Just out of curiosity, that's just arrived courtesy of Evening Call right? I recognize it somewhat, just not familiar with the artist/style.
On a different note, Cran Crown Black is selling some extra C83 tapestries which include the one I was actually mentioning a few posts back. I don't think it's a resale, more of getting rid of some extra stock. Hopefully I can get an order in, since I did miss the order the first time around.

Momo currently is the last cover I had waiting so now I'll be on the lookout for the next one. I love Evening Call for the ease of purchase.
It reminds me, I'll need to purchase another pillow. I only have one, which I've used in a cospa pillow, but it's a little too small for Momo so a little bit hangs off the end. Still looks good, but I'm a little OCD and get annoyed.
---
Those are awesome tapestry by the way. I enjoy tapestries just as much as dakimakura, if not more. I have a ton sitting in a box because I over buy and don't have enough room on my walls. I'm always looking to buy more. :D

Yeah, definitely a nice cover, alamarco.
I should be requesting a bunch of stuff in the next few weeks; SMJ just got a special order in today (some A.C.G. Arts covers) and I still have some invoices to pay on top of that. I was hoping to request everything so I'd get it during Spring Break, but with the special order on top of it I'll either have to wait or request all of my paid stuff.
Oh, for anyone interested, it looks like Maidoll is currently selling their Saeko cover in Taiwan; it's in Taiwan only so you'd need a Taiwanese proxy (I used SMJ), and orders appear to be open until the 17th. Here's the post for anyone interested: http://blog.roodo.com/maidoll/archives/22071976.html
Tapestries are fun. :3

It's an (e)mail order; you send in a form with your information. I just told SMJ that I wanted two of them, and provided the link. They accepted the order, and then paid for it a few days ago (and I've been invoiced for it.) If I'm understanding correctly, it should be shipping later this month.

Thanks for the information.
I'll do just that, just another quick question. When ordering on SMJ it has a Password field. I assumed that was my account password, but it says invalid when I try to submit. If I leave it blank it also says invalid. Is that password anywhere on the site?
