Couldn't find any picture of it on my computer/camera, but I'll see if I can pull it out later for a few shots. Ours released around the same time, and were in the first batch that had a clear view of the goods. So it would definitely be interesting to know what their current batch of covers looks like.

Edit: And yeah, willowywicca, I'd love to see some shots of your most recent if you wouldn't mind. I debated picking that one up myself, but ultimately decided against it.

Anyone recently place an order with Evening Call? Was just doing some number crunching for an order I just placed; Three covers came out to be 37800Â¥ + 4000Â¥ shipping, and they invoiced me for $530.40 which comes to around 1USD:79Â¥, which is well below the 1USD:98Â¥ current rate. Wouldn't mind so much if it was closer to a ~90Â¥ rate, but the difference is almost $70.

Yeah, they haven't been using a current rate for awhile now. :/ I haven't paid them for 2 orders yet, since I'm actually waiting until closer to the payment due date (I usually pay as quickly as possible), but both of my recent orders were billed at an $1=80Â¥ rate. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt that they hadn't checked the rate in awhile, but my first few invoices they billed me in yen with a detailed conversion to USD; the recent invoices didn't include the yen price at all and were detailed only in dollars.

Yeah, just got an invoice today without the JPY breakdown, not sure as to what I want to do yet. (A $70 difference is half another cover...)

I was the very first one to pay with Paypal, and as such they didn't include a roughly $20 fee with my order. I tried to repay them when I found out later, but they wouldn't take it, so when my first invoice had the higher value, I paid it because I felt I still owed them for that first Paypal fee. But this time around, I'm definitely going to say something. I really appreciate the fact that they're willing to ship internationally, and would definitely consider paying a bit more, but this is a considerable amount more and it's worked in without any explanation. I'll probably ask for a detailed breakdown of the cost, saying it looks like they used a 1=80 rate and that the current Paypal rate is 1=x. I plan on offering to pay on yen to protect from any fluctuations in the conversion rate.

I simply asked if it wasn't too much trouble to get the invoice itself in JPY and let Paypal handle the conversions, but I guess I'll see how that goes.

Yeah, I think that they screwed me with that shit too. Not sure what the conversion rate was then, but it seemed a little steep for the price.

March 10 they invoiced me for two covers: one was 12000 yen, the other was 6800 yen. They broke it down as follows:
USD150+85+31(EMS 600g *2)+11(Paypal fee)=USD277.

Compared to the current conversion rate, that is a 2,856 yen and 1618 yen difference, respectively. Combined that's 4474 yen or $45.17 extra that I paid.

Finally have time to comment on this, but thanks for taking the pictures. :D

She's definitely worth the money, I'd say but I think the uncertainty of censorship and her expression on the front side is why I passed in the first place. Her body is absolutely fantastic on that backside, and other than the light censoring I don't see anything wrong with it. Still, it's a bit strange to see the blur there; I don't recall seeing any blur on mine and it was mostly juices acting as a censor if I remember correctly. Then again, the view wasn't as full on as that one is, so I'll have to go back and check.

Ended up picking both CranCrown covers up, which should be here in about a week. Guess I'll see how far they're willing to go with covers now. Also haven't heard back from Evening Call yet even though the deadline is today (not sure if extension perks work on these event covers, with the event being about two weeks away).

I might end up getting a nude one when I go to the next local convention, those look good.

That sucks, hopefully it will apply. If not, you'll miss out on the extra experience, but I'm fairly confident all 4 covers will pop again in the near future. I guess I should send them a message about the invoice due next week so that I give them enough time to respond.



Just be careful, from what I hear conventions have quite a lot of bootlegs floating around.

I sincerely apologize if this has already been brought up (possibly multiple times), but I have a massive surplus of dakis I'm trying to sell, and eBay has already nailed me twice for selling 18+ items outside of the Adults Only category...which is hidden from searches, so unless you're looking there, you wouldn't know they existed even if you typed in "dakimakura". My name on eBay is christopherengel10, for the record, and sales are unbelievably slow, despite domestic shipping and general $29.99 price for each of them. I've only sold maybe half a dozen in the past few months.

So, what's the best place to sell dakimakura for someone just look to sell surplus? eBay is clearly not working out so well.

I've mostly sold through figure.fm and myfigurecollection.net... but I think that's only viable for official ones not bootlegs (which yours are iirc?). I never had much luck with ebay, probably cos there's so many bootlegs there that any official ones just got lost (and look overpriced in comparison).

Yeah, there really aren't many places you can sell; all of the major figure sites that have anime fans have strict rules against posting any bootlegs/knockoffs. eBay is about the only place where it's allowed (and it technically isn't, but they wouldn't know the difference.)
