Yeah, they typically do event and then start a preorder a few weeks after the event happens.

This is one the main reason I want a 150x50 pillow. The bottom part left empty bothers me a lot.

I just looked it up and all of the Lose covers I saw were 160x50, so if you got a 150x50, you'd still have some slack at the bottom unfortunately. Assuming you don't have a different covers than the 4-5 I checked, anyway.

If you right-click and select "View Picture" the click the address bar and press enter, it'll show the pic. I guess Boreokookies linked them in a way that imgur dislikes for hotlinking or something.. dunno.

@Shashin That would explain it >_>. I originally assume it was 150cm and then after comparing mine to the pictures above with the target body pillows, it make senses why my lose covers is a bit more lengthy.

Yeah, the market standard these days is 160x50cm, so even the covers that might benefit from a 150x50cm case (loli covers, for example) are mostly 160cm. That's not to say that 150 isn't used on occasion (along with 170/180), but a 160 pillow is the best buy, I'd say.

That cover was sold by Evening Call about a year ago. Your best options for picking it up these days would likely be Mandarake or YJA, though I know a few users here bought doubles of it. It's unlikely they'd be willing to sell, but you never know. I'll look around for it and see if I can spot it anywhere.

Edit: Just checked both Mandarake and YJA, and neither has it available, sadly. :(

Thanks for looking! ^^. I don't blame them for buying pairs, the tengu dakimakura looks amazing. I guess having the picture is good enough lol. This maybe be an odd request but are there trap dakimakuras? I can't seem to find any that isn't hideyoshi from Baka to Test. Something like Ash Wing or Nemunemu would be awesome.

No worries, and yeah, it's a pretty common practice in this hobby. I try to buy doubles of the covers I really like, that way if I want to put one on a pillow, I don't feel too bad when it gets damage over time. It still sucks, but having a backup means I have one in pristine condition at all times.

I'm not familiar with either name you mentioned, but there are a decent number of trap and futa covers out there. Off the top of my head, B&W Store did Stein's;Gate Ruka that had a male side, Evening Call did a futa version Keine, Harthnir has some really over the top futa covers. Nice haul! That maid cover turned out really nice too. When I first saw it, I immediately fell in love the way the blue color of her hair really "pops." I definitely thought that there would have been some sort of crafty censoring going on down there so I didn't get it. Might have to be on the lookout for one on Mandrake or YJA now.

Nope. Got a shipment notice (just the automated one when a new covers ships) for my Maou cover, but haven't heard anything otherwise. I replied to the confirmation request about a week before the payment due date of one order, asking for them to either bill me in yen or give a more detailed invoiced, but never heard anything. Then I just asked them to bill me in yen for another order (and said that I'm not over the payment deadline for the previous order), but haven't heard back from them yet.

I don't know what the deal is, but it really sucks.

If you do have the funds available, both covers are available via Amiami at the moment. Although I'm not sure how much of a priority it'd be for you given the amount of covers coming out/getting announced at the end of May.

I'm not sure how to respond to that. I'd love to support the circle further, but when I can order other covers that I want just as much for a cheaper price, it's harder to reason that decision. Also, with the current pricing, it would be cheaper to use a proxy but then you couldn't make use of awesome level rewards.

Doing a rough calculation for a current order I have, it works out to be slightly cheaper even with SMJ.

Evening Call:
34000 (+500 domestic shipping) order total, requesting $481.55

SMJ:
34500/95 yen rate = $363.2 + $35 (flat rate fee over 33k)+ $12 (special order 2 item) + $3 wire fee + shipping to US/myself (figure maybe $30, tops) which brings the total to about $445. That's still a fair bit cheaper than they price they're asking from foreign customers.

It's a bit unfortunate that I'd be paying the same rate I did for my orders about three to four months ago where the exchange rate was around 1 USD:78Â¥, I was hoping this order would run me about $450 considering the invoice was about 39000Â¥, but the actual invoice was $530.40. It really does make me wonder if I need to resort to using a proxy in the future, especially when I'd be saving $25-$30 a cover.

Yeah, SMJ has fairly high special order fees; the savings would be even more pronounced with a proxy like Yokatta. With the way it's worded, I can't figure out if there are more fees associated with Paypal (short of the 3.9% fee we pay, maybe there's a fee to convert it/deposit in their bank account, whereas Japanese buyers pay via bank account to begin with) or if they're just losing money on all transactions and decided that they can charge foreigners more while they have to keep the price the same for Japanese customers. Either way, I really don't want to lose the account experience I've earned. I will say that I won't just buy covers for the experience anymore; there were some covers I didn't particularly love, but figured would give me a decent experience boost and I liked them a good deal. But when I have to pay more versus a cover that I really want, you can be damn sure that it's going to be cut.

I don't know how I'm going to respond yet. I can certainly understand their position and I really don't want to see the circle go away anytime soon, but having to pay more (Paypal fees and more expensive shipping excluded) for the same product is a tough sell. I have two orders pending currently, but I'm not sure how much I really want any of the covers.

Edit: Anyone end up picking anything up from My Wife? I bought the new anko cover and one of the new Marks covers (Himawari.) Really wanted Marks Vivid Yellow too, but the cheapest one that had a buyout was 500 above my bidding limit. >.< It was posted for a few hours, but ended up selling when the few bid auctions really shot up.

I've been looking at the Anko IS cover as well as a few other covers; With no previews to go by for any of them I've been slightly reluctant to fully commit myself to trying to get anything at the moment.

That's an understandable way to go about things. Anko is my favorite artist, and I really like Charl (though I prefer Laura), so there wasn't really any question of not purchasing it. The only time I'm ever really hesitant with Anko covers is if the price is absolutely absurd or if it's a character I don't really care for aesthetically.

Someone a few weeks back was wishing for more Steins;Gate covers, and there's a new Kurisu out. The face looks good, but unfortunately the artist only published a silhouette sample images. The silhouette combined with the nice looking face would probably be enough for me to buy it if it were just a bit cheaper, but Mandarake's asking 18k for it.

I didn't pick up anything this time round. Am quite interested to see what the anko and marks covers are like though.
