Does anyone know if 150x50cm dakimakura covers can fit on 160x50cm dakimakura? It depends on the material of the cover. Do you know what it is?
Yeah, it's 2-way tricot cover. I'm looking at putting it on a 160x50cm A&J DHR4000 dakimakura if possible.
My main reason for asking is because looking at all the covers I do have, none are 150x50cm.
Oh, so you're thinking of buying a 150 cover and want to make sure that it will fit? Yeah, 150 is really uncommon these days; mostly only bootleggers and the occasional company/circle cover that will use it.
Anyhow, if you're trying to fit a 150 2WT cover on a 160 pillow body, then it should work fine, if it's a relatively decent 2WT. 2WT and Smooth Knit are elastic in the vertical direction, so they'll stretch a good bit. Of course, it does depend on the exact measurements of both the pillow and the cover, since neither are necessarily consistent (some covers may be officially 160x50, but that just means they're designed to fit 160x50 pillows, and may actually be 155x47 to account for the stretch of the material, while the same can be said for pillows sometimes.)

All right then, thanks for the info. I'll put an order in for this 150x cover and see how it goes.

Anyone pick up or manage to find reviews of Anko's latest IS cover? I just got my Anko Kancolle cover today among several other things, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to take the investment for the Laura cover as well.

Though I know someone who had one privately commissioned. If I ever hit the max level at Evening Call (a few years down the line), she's definitely a contender for my choice of custom cover. I'm not familiar with the other character, but looking her up it doesn't look like she has anything available, either. :(

Speaking of Evening Call, anyone notice http://blog.埋もれる抱ãæž•er.jp/archives/10158, it really seems to resemble Pen's artwork. I haven't followed Evening Call long enough to know for sure, but has Pen ever released covers apart from Evening Call or is this just a case of Evening Call not updating their site?

I don't know if he's ever done a cover for a circle other than Evening Call, but he's always had a profile on Denmoe, as has TID.
My guess is that Evening Call hasn't introduced any new works because they're still behind on the shipping curve after having moved warehouses; it would be pretty silly to put another batch of stuff up for preorder when people still haven't received stuff they expected months ago. At least I hope that's the case. I'd really hate to lose a great circle like Evening Call.

Hi guys, been a long long time.
Been really busy. Anyway, anyway gotten Anko's new stuff, unfortunately the old Anko is now gone. I just got their new Miko cover in with my Marks stuff and it's censored. I'm really sad. Black and White do have a nice bunch of covers I have interest in and several are uncensored. Woohoo.

Yeah man, you haven't been here in forever. Hope you've been doing well.
I'm still on the fence about anko's work; the last 3 covers have been relatively tame, by anko's standards, but I'm not entirely sure if it's going to be a permanent change or just a short change of pace. I guess only time will tell. Either way, the last three covers have still been fantastic overall; I love anko's work, and I'd still say it's some of the best art on the market. But of course I wouldn't say no to the return of explicit works.
The B&W KanColle and Puzzles & Dragons stuff is definitely promising. Of the ones up for sale right now, I'm definitely buying the Dean cover and considering a few of the others, but they have some other items in the works that I'll definitely buy unless they really screw them up with the finishing touches.

I'm not too familiar with Pearl Roica myself.
Evening Call finally put up some new orders; So it seems they're not dead which is always fun. Although the price difference for foreigners kind of irks me, it's good to see them back. Considering getting some of the new covers myself.

Yeah, it's unfortunate, but I'd rather pay a bit more than see the circle go under. Everything there looks really good. Definitely plan on ordering the two My Wife covers, since their preorder is only open for a week, but I'm also considering the others. Could probably pick up the My Wife ones when they go up for a normal preorder, but I like them the most.
The easy answer is nothing; 2-Way Tricot and Pearl Roika are essentially the same material. A polyester/polyurethane blend, commonly known as spandex.
However, there is a much more complicated answer. It depends entirely on the manufacturer. Seiren manufacturers Pearl Roika, and they're typically considered to be one of the better material producers. There are a million different companies that produce 2WT/2WR/Roika/Lycra/Spandex or some other variation of the material, though; some are really good, like Seiren, P80, or A&J, while others can be really bad. If you know the producer (or have a link to a specific cover), I could probably give you my opinion of the material. But honestly, it's impossible to compare the two specifically without more information.

I was also looking at the Lilith-soft dakimakura, specifically the Lieri ones that are coming out next month.

Ah yeah, it even says in the description; you don't get a choice between materials, the material is just Pearl Roika which is essentially 2WT.

It seems like Carnelian is doing two KanColle covers as well. This along with Evening Call's latest few releases is really gonna stretch my spending over the next few days, but the covers definitely look great all around.

Yeah, between the EC stuff, SMJ invoices, B&W Store stuff, figure orders, and other covers I want to buy (the blonde of the two you linked, for example), I'm overextending myself like crazy. Luckily I haven't pulled the trigger on a lot of it yet, but I really want to. :(

Holy freaking crap, that is a lot.Okay question. When they come with the pillow it's like $100+ right? Do they ever sell just the case or am I talking about the head pillows?
They sell just the pillow case for around $40 in some places, and you can get a blank pillow for as little as $10 some places.
I have a pillow case that's a little too big for my pillow, so it shifts around a lot.
One side is Eren
Other (superior) side is Levi <3

The thing that had me confused was that this is a rerelease. The first release was called 2WayTricut (2WT) but the rerelease is Pearl Roica and they specifically mentioned it was a different material.
Thanks for your help so far, Amiami doesn't have domestic shipping. What would you recommend for shipping 2-3 Dakimakura?
I also plan on preordering a big wall scroll that will be in a different order. What should I use to ship a 3.4x2.4 feet wall scroll?
Thanks!

Ah, in that case, they just changed manufacturers. I'm not sure who their original manufacturer was off the top of my head, but now it appears to be Seiren, which isn't a bad thing at all; Seiren is one of the better companies.
I'm not sure I understand your question and what you mean by domestic shipping/how you should ship. Are you in Japan and can't place an order? If so, you might need to use their Japanese site for domestic orders. Otherwise, you should be able to create an account on AmiAmi and order whatever you want; it will give you shipping options later.

I'm shipping to outside Japan
The options given are
- EMS
- SAL Small Packet (Registered)
- SAL Small Packet (Unregistered)
- Domestic
- Air Small Packet
I'm guessing Domestic will be unavailable.
I tried to look up the weight of the average dakimakura, which for some reason was 1.5-1.7 KG, and try and calculate the shipping, but it seemed really expensive. I thought Dakimakuras were really light?
I was going to ask you about Bootleg vs. Official Dakimakura, but I saw you made a post on another site about this. So Official is really that much better in quality?
