As promised for Kobun:
Warning: Lots of cocks
Took a bunch of really quick (and absolutely shitty) shots of some of my recent haul. Was originally going to upload some of the non-loli stuff and post it here, but I'm far too lazy for that... so I'm just raring it all up. >_>
Included in the rar:
Evening Call Asuka and Kan'u
More detailed shots of the towel above
Two covers from Dakimakuma
An Ankokoubou Nanoha
Bwstore Asholotte 2P
Touhou Marisa and Flandre
Bon Cool's Sakuya
Dark Stalker's Morrigan

Hello everyone, I'd like to join this thread too if you don't mind! Lots of great stuff you guys have :) Can't believe you're crazy enough to buy 2 of everything when they're already so expensive. Wonder if I'll reach that stage one day too ^^;
I had already been posting my collection on figure.fm so I'll just give links to my posts there (I hope that's not a problem) as my upload connection is terrible (384Kbps) and reuploading them all here would take forever...

If you're patient, you can just wait til Clochette sell it through their webshop instead. The last 6 dakimakura (possibly more.. I've only been checking that long) they had for Comiket/DreamParty were all later sold through the webshop, so it's a pretty safe bet. They never sold out on the webshop, so it seems like they make as many as get ordered. It does mean waiting about 2.5months longer typically to get the dakimakura though.

Whoa! I went to bed last night and woke up to an early Christmas this morning!
Thanks everyone for the buying and validating tips thus far. Good stuff.
Also, welcome aboard, Willowywicca. ( ^_^)b
I'll have to check out that collection later this evening when I get home.
I also have a collection overview pic that still needs posting. It's not super descriptive or anything...just my covers spread out - some laid out, some still folded up in their packaging.

Very nice collection you have there, sir. You've convinced me to buy the Tsubaki on page 10; I've been on the fence about her for awhile, but your shots just pushed me over the line. Next time I see her pop up on Mandarake, she's mine. I'd also like to thank you for the SouSou shots on one of the first few pages. That's another cover I've been interested in, since I quite like SouSou, but the official sample shot for that cover just has a silhouette for the backside.

There's a pretty awesome Sousou cover coming out from Axia soon too http://axia-info.com/makura/sousou.php which should be available for order soon (as well as at Comiket).

Yeah, the minute I saw that a few days ago, I was like "I'm ordering that." Still don't know how I'm going to pay for it, with all my other orders place, but yeah... >_>

The last few axia ones got sold by Amiami (minus the phonecard ofc though.. and it's a pretty damn nice one with this one..), which would mean deferring the payment til it's released in february.

Yep, that's exactly the problem. I have about $1000 in dakimakura covers already set to drop in February. T_T

Ah yeah that could be a problem ^^ Well, their last kanu one got delayed a few weeks in the end I think so maybe hope for the same again!1

I'll probably buy it regardless... the reason I'm always in such a terrible financial position is because I'd rather buy something when it's first available, than risk having to pay double the price on YJA later. So I buy just about everything I want. >_>
It was something I was able to sustain for awhile, but no longer. If I'm "good" the rest of this month and January, I shouldn't have too much trouble covering February's haul... but therein lies the problem. I'd like to buy both Bon Cool's Kobato and BWstore's Kobato/Maria, but they both require up front payment. Still might be able to do it, but it's not a sure thing. >_>
After February, I'll probably have some stuff in an Evening Call order... and then I really need to cut back heavily. >_> But I've been saying that for the last few months, and I see where I am now. D:

Well, for the clochette daki, I'm not sure that was the case for Hazuki Daki (the green hair girl) the price skyrocketed for another reason besides her popularity she was printed without the Clochette logo on the daki for whatever reason.
I'll see how it goes if it's a 1 or 2 k yen difference, I would most probably just go ahead.

Pretty much. I'm thinking about selling a kidney, maybe. You only need one, right? >_>
On a more serious note, I'll be receiving 8 Big Love dakimakura covers tomorrow (and two makaizao figures), and then once I'm paid up on current invoices (probably after Christmas) I'll be requesting my items stored in the US.

ROFL, you like Big love, that's a relatively new circle isn't it? So far I havn't seen anything appealing to me yet. And I've seen them selling their own goods at greatly reduced prices on YJA. I'm pretty sure you've seen their Mio cover and a few others on YJA.
And just out of curiosity sake, you pay for internal shipping in Japan then pay for shipping to ship it to the US warehouse then shipping to your house?

I like them well enough, but I bought so many because I got them from YJA. And I don't know how long they've been around for, but they already have a fairly decent amount of covers to their name. I figured that for the price of 1-2 standard covers, I could have 8 of fairly good quality, if not the best. I was really pleased with their Erio; it's a surprisingly good cover, though they did screw up the toes a bit.
Of course, it didn't work out that well in practice; I figured that I'd save some money with all the combined shipping for ordering them at the same time, but nope. Not only was internal shipping fairly expensive, but the package was too big for batch shipping... so they stored in Japan and I paid for EMS from Japan to my house.
Generally speaking though, that's the route that's taken. For orders that are eligible for batch shipping, "internal" shipping covers Seller -> Japan -> Warehouse, and for the average dakimakura cover it's usually 800-1500 yen depending on the seller and I guess some other factors. Then I usually wait until I have some items near the 90 day storage cap, and then I request one big batch shipping order to my house.

Doesn't storing at the warehouse instead of shipping directly from Japan incur more costs?
I have my stuff stored at Japan then shipped directly to me.
Must be nice to have the US dollar at your disposal. I have almost 30% less buying power but I've bought as much stuff as you.>_<
Talk about suicidal tendencies.

It's an inefficient system if you live outside of the US (hence you getting items shipped directly from Japan), but it works pretty for those in the US, or me at least.
For example, from my experience, the average EMS package costs about 1600-2300 yen for one dakimakura, depending on who's shipping it and the type of packaging they're using. Plus the shipping from the seller to their Japan office. So about 2100 total shipping at least, if not a little more.
EMS generally starts out fairly high (1500ish) and then gets cheaper (per item) as more things are added, up to a reasonable point. So by piggybacking with others, you can divide the cost. Using my most recent purchase as an example, internal shipping was 1200 yen, 500 of which was charged by the seller to get it to the Japanese office.
If I were to request shipping for that item alone, it would cost maybe $5 insured to get it to me in a day or two. Though I generally get 10-20 items shipped at one time, but it still averages to around $5 per item.
So basically:
~2100+ yen
or
1200 yen + ~$5
And yeah, even US buyers are feeling an incredible hit with how well the yen is doing... I can only imagine those who have a currency that is doing even worse than the dollar. D:

Yeah I've had a look through the whole thread :)
Had a check on the dakimakura blog and Hazuki did get sold at the webshop too http://blog.埋もれる抱ãæž•er.jp/archives/3835 I guess the high price now is simply because it was long ago and due to the lack of logo as you say. All the other ones are gradually rising in price on YJA over the past few months too. Kanzaki Miyu (the other one going for 32,000+) also got sold at the webshop http://blog.埋もれる抱ãæž•er.jp/archives/3638 Wish I had known about it back then, both of them are out of my buying range now ;( But yeah, if you can pick up the blond girl straight after comiket for 11-12k it's worth it, just not if the prices get really high. Or could get one now and the backup one from the store later I guess.
