It's about 167 dollars yep, and includes international shipping in the price (or at least they used to.. the latest ones don't say that explicitly in the product description anymore but I assume they still do since there was no pricing change).

That's for Taiwan only; the cover is available on Boncool for foreigners, but I'm not sure if you missed the preorder cut off date. It would also be a bit more expensive since you'd have to pay for shipping.

I've never ordered directly from Dakemakura, but I've been meaning to for about a year and a half now. They just have the majority of their covers available all the time, so there hasn't been any sense of urgency to order.

As for BWstore changing prices/shipping, I think I vaguely recall price being mentioned in one of their blog posts, but nothing is sure yet. I'd imagine they'd keep the price constant for the current preorders, since it would be kinda lame to ask people to pay more after they've already paid, but may raise it/remove free shipping in the future. This is just speculation though, but I could see it happening if they stop using the 4WT altogether for their new material.

Nothing wrong with buying a bootleg cover every now and then. By no means am I trying to be a dakimakura elitist. After all, they are just pillow cases. In fact, I just bought two in my most recent purchase through Rinkya. Albeit, I was hoping that one that was 4K was just a really good deal on a legit cover, but I'm pretty sure that it's a third party reprint. Eh' whatever, I don't really care all that much. I paid over half of the price and I got something that I like. But don't get me wrong, it is also good to buy the real deal and support the artists and their circles too. ;)

What are these two chicks from and who are they? Anyone know? Seriously some hot stuff going on here! My guess is that they are currently only being sold at C81..? Will they pop up online afterwords?

They're Shameimaru Aya (brown hair) and Inubashiri Momiji (white hair) both from Touhou, I think. As for whether they will get a release outside of comiket, I'm not sure, I haven't really followed past evening call releases.

I picked up some bootleg dakimakura from YJA sellers to see what the quality was like recently too. They all have the same property as your green haired clochette girl there - the colors are a lot darker than they were on the proper dakimakura releases. The 2way tricot material on them is quite decent feeling though.

It's still up in the air if that cover will be sold via reservation; Evening Call hasn't said one way or the other as far as I know, but it's currently leaning towards a C81 exclusive. The last small event (no where near on the scale of Comiket) was My Wife, and they had they had a few "event exclusives" there; Alice and the Valkyrie chick. But they had preorders open for about a week, so I'm hoping they might do the same thing here. But given the scale of Comiket, it's usually unlikely.

However, Evening Call recently had to change their material in a rush, so it's possible they may not have the stock they'd like for C81, and decide to open a web reservation because of it... or I guess it could go the other way, since they'll have a limited stock and want to save it for the event. Either way, as far as I know, it hasn't been decided for sure. Generally speaking, at least with normal preorder covers, they'll usually have a few extra and you'll be able to order them on the site a few weeks after the release day.

Just checked Evening Call's site, and they posted this in the comment section. It's a translation, so it should be taken with a grain of salt, but it looking more like an event exclusive unfortunately. They said they may decide if they want to sell after the event, but it isn't guaranteed.

I've had this number for quite some time, but I never managed to put it to use due to the pillows being so much more expensive than the case itself. Would anyone like to buy this one off of me?



Also, since this seems the thread to be at on the topic, where is it one can score an affordable 150x50cm pillow?

I've heard that Bed Bath and Beyond is your best bet for a pillow that works well enough; it's apparently like $10-20 for one that's pretty close to those measurements. Royalpillow is recommended by a few people, as well; they'll do custom sizes if you call them up, and they're reasonably priced.

As for that case, is the image on the pillow the exact same as that sample image? I have a few cases from that circle, and they tend to release sample images that have bandaids and such, but they're usually removed on the case itself.

i got 3 pillows (which i no longer use) from BBB and it's only a 137x51cm. i mean they're good enough for 140cm dakis but now i got a bunch of 160cm they no good. also i've never seen a pillow that costs more than a daki >.>

Ah, true. Now that you mention it, everyone I know who has one of those pillows mentioned stuffing a towel or something at the bottom to pad out the extra space. Still, it's better than no pillow at all, I guess and a decent cheap option; I guess Royalpillow would be the way to go then.

And yeah, unless he has a bootleg cover, even the case he has should have been more expensive than just about every pillow. Though the circle he has a case from generally sells their cases for 7000-9000 yen, because they use a really shitty material. Honestly, a bootleg with peachskin would probably be better than the material they use, but I know that the image they use is usually a bit altered from the sample images they publish.
